Silent Hill - Have Konami finally seen the error of their ways?

So after the other day’s weirdness concerning the upcoming indie game Abandoned and a massive conspiracy theory that it’s actually a Silent Hill revival, fans have gone into overdrive with their over-analysis.

An indie game account made a tweet that fans took as a tease, the game is being co-revealed by Kojima fanboy Geoff Keighly, the game is receiving a special PS5 demo… thing, and there’s a ton of weird coincidences that line up along the way too. The mountainous rabbit hole continues to go deeper and deeper with each passing second it seems like, with new weird teases from Geoff Keighly ( [who’s either having a lot of fun or is being very mean](https://twitter.com/geoffkeighley/status/1406328732097282052?s=20) ) and the developer’s head [being weird and cryptic in a familiar way](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBlueBoxConspiracy/comments/o3fquw/hahaha_so_hasan_kahraman_is_trolling_so_hard_he/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) . The latest, however, is probably the most critical piece of the puzzle yet.

Konami recently fired up an official shop Twitter and Instagram account, and before you ask — yes, this is official, not a fan run account. Konami’s main Twitter account has retweeted and tagged them multiple times, so this isn’t some random fan toying with the situation.

Moving on to the main point: For a few days now, the Official Konami Shop Twitter account [has been teasing some sort of Silent Hill merchandise](https://twitter.com/KonamiShop/status/1405576761992171523?s=20) , most likely a new line of T-shirts, or maybe some new figures, something along those lines. We really hadn’t been paying much attention to them, simply planning on writing up whatever the merch was when it got announced. However, the account has started doing some weird teasing of its own following the Abandoned conspiracy, and it’s starting to make people’s heads explode.

[Over on their Instagram account](https://www.instagram.com/p/CQT2MVrA7ga/) , their latest image (which showcases Silent Hill Homecoming‘s Boogyman with a new Silent Hill logo merging the logos of the first four games), fans commented excitedly either about the merch itself or about Abandoned. Of note, is that the account pinned two comments and only two comments:

Konami- Something big is coming.

_Yahriel - Abandoned is Silent Hill.

The second comment was unpinned a few hours afterward, but it was left up long enough for fans to notice and screenshot the hell out of it. The account has been doing other weird things as well, as a few people have noticed that the official Konami Store account inexplicably follows a small ‘ [Silent Hill Revival](https://twitter.com/SilentHillback/with_replies) ‘ account, and followed them almost immediately after the account was made as well.

Since then, fans have started DMing the account on Twitter to… interesting results. Now before we get into this, I should note: this is specifically is completely unverifiable at the moment.

However fans have received a slew of weirdly… confirmatory replies from this account, rather than the usual total shutdown. Konami are not known for teasing. They usually drop and bomb and hide before saying that they never meant anything by it in the first place.

Question - if Silent Hill getting a reboot then respond “just stay tuned.”

Konami Shop replied - ha ha. Just stay tuned.

This story is developing, of course; there’s plenty of other weird things going on alongside this, like [fans noticing that the special logo for the Bogeyman image is off-center](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBlueBoxConspiracy/comments/o3m6j7/you_cant_make_this_shit_up_i_swear/) , but that’s possibly just bad graphic design. I’m in a state of total disorientation over all of this, if I’m being honest. Unlike Never Be Game Over, this has actual feedback from big names that would be directly involved if this conspiracy was indeed true. For the moment, it’s obviously best to just keep your expectations in check, and assume that the intern running the Konami Shop accounts doesn’t know what’s going on and is just trying to be peppy. The “full reveal” of whatever is going on with Abandoned is coming on the 22nd, although even then I still don’t expect answers, personally.
