Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Farm EXP Fast?

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet EXP, or Experience Points, is part and parcel of a Pokémon's growth in becoming stronger and reaching their later evolutions. Knowing how to get XP and level up fast in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is helpful. Here are several ways you can gain XP to level them up quickly, and you can mostly do it while playing the game itself.

1. Obtain a Lucky Egg

Obtaining the Lucky Egg first is highly recommended, which will give a bonus on the EXP earned by the Pokémon holding it. This can be done by completing five (5) Gyms and meeting up with Jacq at the 6th Gym, where you'll be rewarded with the Lucky Egg.

2. Tera Raid Battles

Tera Raid battles are the best way to get EXP for your Pokemon. The important thing to note here is that Tera Raids do not give you EXP for your team. What they do give you is a bunch of EXP Candies. When you use EXP Candies on your Pokemon, you will get experience points for that Pokemon. The more raids you do, the more EXP Candies you get, which will help you level up your Pokemon faster.

3. Hunt Down Wild Chansey

Chanseys are known to be EXP-rich Pokémon that can provide a lot of EXP when defeated or caught. Each Chansey you clear can provide around 1,500 to 2,500 EXP for non-participants and around 4,000 to 7,000 EXP for participants and Lucky Egg holders.

4. Hunt Down Wild Blissey

If you're in the northern or northeast habitats, a Blissey may appear. These are Chansey's evolved form and earn you much more Exp. Points. Initiate an old-school battle if you see a Blissey savor all that sweet Exp.

5. Make Sandwiches

You can also make sandwiches as well. Some sandwiches will give you bonus EXP to Pokemon of a certain type while you train them. We recommend you make a sandwich while training your Pokemon to get even more EXP.

6. Enable Auto Battle

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Let's Go! The feature lets you walk your Pokémon, fight, and pick up items. Letting your Pokémon walk beside you is one of the best ways to farm XP passively, where they can fight other Pokémon without your intervention. You can also swap out Pokemon when you feel they have reached the desired rank.

How to farm EXP with Let's Go mode?

Step 1: Beat Team Star's Fighting Crew base.

Step 2: Have a strong Grass or Electric-type Pokémon.

Step 3: Go to the crater near Fury Falls.

Step 4: This area is filled with Golducks and Dratini at around level 50.

Step 5: Send your Grass or Electric-type Pokémon out in Let's Go mode.

Step 6: Sit back, relax, and let your Pokémon rack up the EXP.

7. Participate in Tera Raid Battles

You can find Tera Crystals marked on the map, and engaging with them can start the Tera Raid Battle. If you win, you can earn a large chunk of XP as a reward, amongst other items.

How to Farm EXP Candy from Terra Raid Battles?

Step 1: Locate Tera Crystals on the map. They are marked with star-shaped icons.

Step 2: Interact with the Tera Crystal to begin a Tera Raid Battle. Make sure you check the Pokémon type you will be facing to build your team to counter it.

Step 3: Either team up with others or play alone with AI companions.

Step 4: Each Tera Raid can only be done once per day, and the ones available change each day. Adjusting your Switch's internal clock can allow you to grind them as much as you like.

8. Raise the Friendship Level

Pokémon with high Friendship is easier to raise XP on, so you should ensure that your chosen Pokémon has a high enough friendship level. You can increase your Friendship level by giving it items, bonding, and using it at your party.

9. Give Consumables and Items

Certain items like Rare Candy, Lucky Egg, and XP charms can boost their XP and other attributes.
