The Nintendo Switch gained popularity in 2020 during the Pandemic with games like Animal Crossing. Some might not know where to start with their gaming adventures. They have many different games, however in this article, the focus will be on these six games: Animal Crossing, Among Us, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Bros. Ultimate, and Jackbox Games. Let's get started!

1. Animal Crossing

In Animal Crossing, you can fish, hit rocks, and chop trees to find different materials to build different items. Build your island with the help of Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy. Complete small tasks to create more buildings like a museum to hold all of the fish, bugs, and fossils that you find on the island. Eventually, the island will be bustling with new neighbors and a decorated island that you helped create.

2. Among Us

Among us is an exciting game to play online with people from around the world. In this game, you have tasks to complete and try your best to not get killed by the imposter. Discuss with your crewmates who is the imposter. Either you figure out who the imposter is or have everyone finish their tasks to win the game. As the imposter, you’ll have to act like you're doing tasks and not raise suspicion. The goal of the imposter is to kill the crew. Being the imposter gets your blood pumping as you try your best to not be found out. Another great way to play this game is with friends. The game allows you to set up a private game that has a code for your friends to join. With Discord, you can talk amongst your friends while playing and find out who’s the better liar. Then, eject them from the ship for being “sus.”

3. Mario Kart 8

Mario Kart 8 is a racing game that includes your favorite characters like Mario, Toad, Princess Rosalina, and Yoshi. That isn't the entire list, of course. I might have missed a few of your favorites. However, this game is fun to play on your own, with friends, or with people from around the world. Many different tracks to race and battle on. They also have different mini-games like Renegade Roundup, Shine Theif, Coin Runners, Bom-omb Blast, and Balloon Battle. You can also choose a random setting to play a different type of battle during each round.

4. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a simulation game tied to the storyline in which you inherit a farm and start a new life. You'll get to interact with the 30 characters that reside within Pelican Town. Explore the land and mysterious caves. Learn to live with the land and gain a relationship with the people. Relationships may grow and you'll be able to start a family of your own. Have fun farming and creating a whole new life within this new form of imaginative escape.

5. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Many enjoy playing fighting simulation games. If you enjoy Street Fighter, you'll enjoy Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. With a variety of different characters like Mario, Pikachu, Samus, and Sora. Play against friends, the computer, or people around the world. You'll gain new characters to play with as you win other battles.

6. Jack Box Games

Jack Box Games are better when played with large groups. They have 8 Party Packs with different games on each one. Games like fibbage, Murder Trivia Party, and Joke Boat. These games a very fun to play on game nights with friends. "Talking Points," is a game on the 7th party pack in which you give a presentation on a random subject. Don't worry! One of your friends will assist you by choosing images to "go along with" your presentation. They have many other fun games to play!
