As you can see, another icon of popular culture will be making its way into the Kombat-universe.

I am not talking about Rain and Mileena seen in the photo above. I am talking about John Rambo.

The badass Vietnam vet is making an appearance in the most popular fighting franchise alongside other iconic characters like Schwarzenegger's T-800, Peter Weller's Robocop, Predator, Alien, and horror icons like Jason Voorhees and Leatherface.

There are many other popular icons that would make ideal choices for the Kombat-verse. Which is why I am writing this post.

Joe Armstrong

The ninja turned army man turned school teacher played by Michael Dudikoff has certainly made an impression with his character in American Ninja 1,2 and 4.

So why not give this iconic character an appearance in the series? Sure, there are lots of ninjas in the Mortal Kombat series. But Dudikoff is a classic and that's why I suggest putting him in the series.

BA Baracus

Mr. T himself played quite the badass character in the classic series The A-Team as Sgt. Bosco Baracus, called BA for "Bad Attitude".

The heavy hitter of the A-Team has yet to make any real appearance in anything as of late. So why not add him?

His fatality could involve his opponent getting run over by the famous A-Team van or even go Clubber Lang and punch off his opponents head.

Ash Williams

There has been talk of Mr. "Hail to the King Baby" not being part of the MK 11 DLC.

Why shouldn't he make an appearance? Bruce Campbell nailed this role. Being so cool with the ladies while hacking and slashing Deadites with his chainsaw hand and blowing them to bits with his boomstick in his other hand.

How could you not want this iconic character to part of the Kombat Universe?

Cho Osaki

Yet another ninja being added to the Kombat line-up is not just any ninja. The character in Revenge of the Ninja was payed by martial arts legend Sho Kosugi, who back in the day was known to play ninjas in various films.

A cult classic like Robocop made an appearance, so why not another famous martial artist?

Harley Quinn

Since the Joker made an appearance in the DC Universe, why not his former female companion?

Certainly, her baseball bat, mallets, hyenas, pie bombs and dark humor that's equal to the Joker would make a nice addition to the Kombat universe.

The next question would be who would voice her? Tara Strong, Melissa Raunch or Haley Cuoco?

Dar the Beastmaster

I would have considered Conan the Barbarian, but the Governator already made his appearance as the T-800 from the Terminator series. I did, however, want to add someone from the Swords and Sorcery genre that was part of the 1980's. That's where the character of Dar (played by Marc Singer) comes in.

His Fatality could consist of his tiger/brother mauling his opponent to death or his eagle/brother Sharak tearing their face off with his talons and beak.

Takuma "Terry" Tsurugi

Not an 80's icon, but still a legend in the martial arts movies.

The role played by Shinichi "Sonny" Chiba in The Street Fighter series was known for its violence in all three of his films so there is no need to wonder how violent it can get with this character.

Atrocitus

The Kombat-verse is violent enough even without the founder/leader of the Red Lantern Corp. His attacks would be vicious even without Dex-Starr and his fatalities would be just as ruthless whatever they may be

If Atrocitus were added, the Elder Gods would have to show mercy to his opponents.
