More to an open world

Games that are not Assassins Creed, but should follow it.

According to the website listed below there will be a Star Wars game that will have the same feel as the Assassins Creed series (picture of AC: Odyssey above) and there is also talk of an Indiana Jones game with the same aspect.

Ghosts of Tsushima is not with Ubisoft (the creators of Assassins Creed) but like Assassins Creed it has the same type of open-world gameplay.

With that being said, this opens up many other opportunities for open world games in other aspects of fiction and history.

Here are some of my ideas.

Warhammer 40k

Imagine being a scout in of the many Space Marine chapters.

Whether they be the founding chapters (Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Imperial Fists, etc.) or Second Founding Chapters (Black Templars, Silver Skulls, Iron Snakes, etc.) the game would have missions that would range from aiding struggling Imperial Guardsmen to sneaking behind enemy lines to destroy artillery pieces.

The plot could be Orks attacking a planet and then and some point the Eldar get involved and then it's reveled that one of the Chaos Legions (Word Bearers, Alpha Legion, Iron Warriors, etc) are plotting to corrupt the planet.

The Crusades

The most controversial conflict was featured in the very first Assassins Creed where you played Altair, the only character in the series who can't swim.

That being said, why not have a video game like Assassins Creed that goes back to this questionable time period, but under different circumstances?

The plot could be an English Knight who goes to the Holy Lands to fight against the Saracens, only to realize that the slaughter of innocent Muslims doesn't sit too well with him. He then converts to Islam and fights against his former crusading buddies.

Good idea or not, it still is an idea.

World War 1

The war to end all wars has had its moments with the 2017 Wonder Woman film and Battlefield 1.

But what if there was a game like Assassins Creed that took place during this conflict?

The main protagonist of the story could be a Frenchman (or woman) is given orders to hold the line only to be overrun by German forces. The character is the last survivor and has to do what he/she can to fight off the invading German forces.

Missions can range from sabotaging German artillery to killing officers even going as far as seizing an airfield and taking the fight to the skies.

This might be part of the Assassins Creed universe and it might not be, but either way, another WW1 themed video game should be done somewhere.

Hokuto No Ken

This series certainly has had a good run in the video game from the side-scrolling Last Battle on the Sega Genesis to Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise that had a gameplay similar to that of the Yakuza series.

With that being said, why shouldn't the 64th successor of Hokuto Shinken be given a chance at being part of an open world themed game in a post-apocalyptic setting?

Elements of the series would still be in play. It can begin with Ken trying to get back Yuria then move onto the fight with the Fang Clan and eventually the final fight between Kenshiro and Raoh.

Rescuing slaves, smashing up bad guy's vehicles, and participating in gladiator matches would be amongst the many side quests available in the game. Different equipment, clothing make-up, vehicle designs and other trade goods would be part of the rewards in the game.

I post this idea because Hokuto No Ken is my absolute favorite series.
