If there's one thing that gamers can all agree on, it's that one of the most rewarding pieces of an upcoming video game announcement is watching the trailer for the first, second, third and eighty-fifth time. We all try to find one little amazing nugget of glory in the trailer that could potentially clue us in on what we're going to experience in the game.

Well, one such trailer was just released, but it came with a little less gravitas considering that details of the game were leaked on a major retailers website. Yet that didn't stop Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Studios from releasing an incredible launch trailer today.

Middle Earth: Shadows of War is the highly anticipated follow up game to 2014's Shadow of Mordor and fans have been anxiously waiting for this, and based on the trailer the wait has been worth it. It looks as though Shadow of War will pick up right where Shadow of Mordor left off with Celebrimbor and Talion forging a new Ring of Power to fight Sauron. The game is still positioned in the timeline somewhere between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and should expand on the lore between the epic Tolkien fantasy.

Shadow of War looks primed to up the ante, and expand on so many features from the first game including an expanded Nemesis System which will feature two new additions of "Nemesis Fortresses" and "Followers".

Although some details were leaked early and weren't confirmed at the time, it seems that Warner Bros. has confirmed several bits of information through the official Shadow of War website with their extensive DLC and preorder options.

It looks like gamers will have the choice of 4 different versions to purchase, and with a preorder will also recieve a Legendary Champions War Party and Exclusive Sword of Dominion. The 4 available versions are as follows:

The Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • No special expansions

The Silver Edition ($90 of value - for $79.99)

  • Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • Silver War Chest

The Gold Edition ($125 of value - for $99.99)

  • Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion
  • The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
  • Gold War Chest

The Mithril Edition ($350 of value - for $299.99)

  • Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
  • The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion
  • The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
  • Limited Edition 15” Tar-Goroth Balrog vs. Carnan Drake Statue
  • Collection of Exclusive Lithographs
  • Premium Case with Magnetic Ring of Power
  • Exclusive Steelcase
  • Official Game Music Soundtrack
  • Cloth Map of Mordor
  • Tribes Sticker Pack
  • Gold War Chest
  • Exclusive Mithril War Chest

Now not everyone will go for the Mithril Edition or even the Silver/Gold Editions but considering how much material is waiting behind the Wall of Deluxe Spending, it definitely worth consideration.

Middle Earth: Shadow of War arrives on August 22, 2017.
