Unfortunately we are now stuck in a time where we are being forced to stay in our own homes...but lucky for us gamers, we have been preparing for this our whole lives and the lockdown makes no difference in our lives what so ever. But what games are best to play when stuck inside and help the days be more fun-filled? Well here is a list of games I have played and found to be entertaining including a new game which is due to be released very soon.

Assassin's Creed : Odyssey/Origins

Both Origins and Odyssey are drastically different when compared to the others that came before. Both these games contain compelling, emotional and action filled stories, the characters are well developed, interesting and enjoyable. The games are more open world and have hundreds of side stories and challenges to complete! The maps are huge and hold many secrets. Odyssey follows to story of either Kassandra or Alexios ( you're given the choice to pick who you want to play) whoever you choose, you will be by their side and fight with them and journey across the islands of Greece to track down the murderous and manipulative Cult of Kosmos who have haunted your family for years.

Origins follows the story of Bayek in Ancient Egypt who must track down a group of religious killers and put and end to their tyranny, just like Odyssey it is open world and also contains missions where you can get sucked in for hours. Whichever one you choose to play, you'll find yourself spending 100+ hours and enjoying every minute of it.

The Sims

Everybody who has played this game will know that The Sims is one of those games where logic is not needed and your day fly by. This binge worthy game can bring hours of fun by designing characters and building houses and of course abusing the hell out of the available cheats. For years, The Sims has allowed us to live out our wildest dreams whether it be visiting aliens, getting our dream job and simply...owning our own home. The game also has a series of hilarious glitches that's enough to get anybody laughing, nothing like watching your Sim freak out when a chair blocks the doorway.

The Sims has brought years of entertainment, Just because we are stuck indoors does not mean that the little virtual version of yourself has to be. The Sims has tonnes of features such as being able to design characters and houses and plenty of add-ons such as Pets, Nightlife, IKEA furniture, Seasons and Business.

Fallout 4

The nuclear wasteland holds many secrets, mutants, sadistic vault experiments and post war locations to explore. Fallout is one the worlds most beloved series...except Fallout 76, we don't talk about that. The Fallout series is set in the nuclear wasteland of America, each game is set in different areas such as Boston and Washington. The most famous game was Fallout 3 which paved the way for the better and more action filled Fallout 4, which follows the vault dweller of Vault 111. This dweller is the first one we see to experience the bombs dropping first hand, Fallout 4 is set 200 years after the bombs first dropped, but we are cryogenically frozen, all the while our son is kidnapped and we have to find him. We meet many companions along the way as well as many mutants to fight and befriend, but the main trustworthy one is Dogmeat, your loyal German Shepherd.

In Fallout 4, we see a new feature such as designing our own safe house which can be filled with inhabitants that we meet on our journey, they will protect and maintain the area while you are away. With never ending missions and countless of locations to explore, Fallout offers fun and intriguing stories that will have you hooked for hours.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

The new and improved game is due to grace our screens on the 3rd April 2020. I honestly cannot wait to play this game as Resident Evil is my favourite game series. I've been playing this series for 11 years, I started playing it when Resident Evil 5 was released and since then I have played every game that has been released. I decided not to play the demo when it came out as I wanted nothing spoiled and have everything to be a surprise. As we know Resident Evil 3 carries on from resident Evil 1 and coincides with Resident Evil 2. Jill Valentine is the main protagonist in this game and it shows her survival and the battles she fought on the zombie infested streets of Raccoon City, along the way we come across other survivors. She must find her way out before the city is fully destroyed, but...she is being hunted by a weapon beyond imagination.

This game comes with a new special feature which is an online multiplayer mode called Resident Evil: Resistance. This game mode is set in a school where a set group of players play as school kids and one plays the "Mastermind". The aim of the game is to try and escape the school while avoiding being trapped by the Mastermind. Each characters has their own perks and skills which can be used for sabotage. It is unclear whether this will be continually updated and developed, but so far the demo has received lots of praised. When this game is released I have no doubt that this game will provide tonnes of entertainment.
