Call of duty Series:

Hi there its surface gamers I hope you liked my last article about top 3 multiplayer games online. In that article I mentioned call of duty warzone as one of the top 3 online multiplayer games

This series of game has its own genre and an effect on the head of gamers. Its been a wonderful series of games here in this article I will tell you about the first 5 series of call of duty and if you are a true gamer and have played these games you will be in your nostalgic thoughts after this article

First in our list is

Call of duty (2003):

Call of Duty is the first game in the Call of Duty series, released in 2003. It was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. The game is set during World War II and features a campaign mode with three different perspectives: American, British, and Soviet. The gameplay is focused on first-person shooting, with the player taking on the role of a soldier fighting in various historical battles, such as the D-Day landings in Normandy and the Battle of Stalingrad. Call of Duty was well-received critically and commercially, spawning a successful franchise that continues to this day.

Call of Duty's campaign is divided into three different perspectives, each with its own set of missions that follow historical events during World War II. The perspectives are American, British, and Soviet, and each of them has a unique storyline and characters.

In the American campaign, the player takes on the role of Private Martin, a soldier in the 101st Airborne Division. The campaign begins with the D-Day landings at Omaha Beach, where Martin and his fellow soldiers fight their way through German defenses to secure the beachhead. The campaign then follows Martin and his unit as they participate in the Battle of the Bulge and other major engagements in the European Theater of Operations.

In the British campaign, the player takes on the role of Sergeant Evans, a member of the 6th Airborne Division. The campaign begins with Operation Tonga, a paratrooper mission to secure strategic bridges and take out German artillery ahead of the D-Day landings. The campaign then follows Evans and his unit as they participate in the liberation of the French town of Caen and other operations in northern Europe.

Every call of duty game has its own storyline

n the Soviet campaign, the player takes on the role of Private Alexei Ivanovich Voronin, a soldier in the 13th Guards Rifle Division. The campaign begins with the Battle of Stalingrad, where Voronin fights alongside his comrades to defend the city against the German army. The campaign then follows Voronin and his unit as they participate in the Soviet offensive that pushes the Germans back through eastern Europe and ultimately into Berlin.

Throughout the campaign, the player encounters various historical figures and events, such as Major-General John Frost and the Battle of Arnhem, as well as fictional characters and situations that are meant to represent the experiences of soldiers during World War II.

Call of Duty 2 (2005)

Call of Duty 2 is the second game in the Call of Duty series, released in 2005. It was also developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Like its predecessor, the game is set during World War II and features a campaign mode with multiple perspectives.

The campaign in Call of Duty 2 is divided into four different perspectives: Soviet, British, American, and a new addition, the Free French. The player takes on the role of different soldiers in each perspective, participating in a variety of missions across different theaters of the war.

The Soviet perspective follows the story of Private Vasili Ivanovich Koslov, a soldier in the Red Army. The campaign begins with the Battle of Moscow and then follows Koslov and his unit as they fight in Stalingrad, the siege of Tobruk, and the Battle of El Alamein.

The British perspective follows the story of Sergeant John Davis, a soldier in the British Army. The campaign begins with the Battle of El Daba, and then follows Davis and his unit as they fight in the Battle of Gazala, the Battle of El Alamein, and the Battle of Caen.

The American perspective follows the story of Corporal Bill Taylor, a soldier in the U.S. Army. The campaign begins with the Battle of Pointe du Hoc, and then follows Taylor and his unit as they fight in the Battle of St. Lo, the Battle of Hill 400, and the Battle of the Bulge.

The Free French perspective follows the story of Private Jean Gaudin, a soldier in the French Army. The campaign begins with the liberation of Toujane, Tunisia, and then follows Gaudin and his unit as they fight in the Battle of Kasserine Pass and the liberation of Paris.

Call of Duty 2 also introduced some new features to the franchise, such as regenerating health and a more immersive HUD. The game was well-received critically and commercially, further solidifying Call of Duty as a major franchise in the gaming industry.

Call of Duty 3 (2006):

Call of Duty 3 is the third game in the Call of Duty series, released in 2006. Unlike the first two games, Call of Duty 3 was not developed by Infinity Ward but by Treyarch, with Activision as the publisher. The game was released for multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Xbox 360.

The game is set during World War II, and the campaign follows the stories of several soldiers from different countries who fight in the Western Front. The campaign mode is divided into 14 different missions, each focusing on a different aspect of the war.

The game features a similar gameplay style to the previous entries in the series, with a heavy emphasis on first-person shooting. However, Call of Duty 3 also introduces some new features, such as environmental interactions and squad-based gameplay.

The campaign mode in Call of Duty 3 follows the stories of four different soldiers: Private Nichols, a U.S. Army infantryman; Corporal Keith, a British SAS operative; Private Guzzo, a Canadian infantryman; and Pvt. Leroy Huxley, a Polish tank driver. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)

Here is the fourth series of the game there are many left but this is the series of modern warfare where the online games have started

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It was released in 2007 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

The game is set in a contemporary, realistic setting, and features both single-player and multiplayer modes. The single-player campaign follows the story of a British SAS and an American Marine, who are both fighting against a Russian ultranationalist terrorist group. The multiplayer mode features a variety of game modes and maps, and allows players to level up and unlock new weapons and equipment.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was a critical and commercial success, receiving high praise for its graphics, sound design, and gameplay. It is often cited as one of the best first-person shooter games of all time, and helped to popularize the modern military shooter genre. The game's success also led to the development of numerous sequels and spin-offs in the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty: World at War (2008)

This is the fifth and the last game for todays article This is the back to back series of call of duty

Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360.

The game is set during World War II, and features both single-player and multiplayer modes. The single-player campaign follows the stories of American and Soviet soldiers fighting against the Axis powers in various locations around the world, including the Pacific theater and the Eastern Front. The multiplayer mode features a variety of game modes and maps, and allows players to level up and unlock new weapons and equipment.

Call of Duty: World at War introduced several new features to the Call of Duty franchise, including the ability to swim and use vehicles in the single-player campaign, and the introduction of the Zombies mode in multiplayer. The game was generally well-received, with critics praising its graphics, sound design, and intense gameplay. It also sold well, and helped to solidify the Call of Duty franchise as one of the most popular video game franchises of all time.
