How to Become a HOT Shooter

It all comes down to setting, throwing, trend, and practice.

I have been playing craps for over 2 years and I see the same thing when it comes to other players. They play, the press, and lose it all within 10 minutes. Some go to the ATM machine just to come back and lose again. The thing is most crap players aren't smart with their money. In fact, they worry about winning big instead of losing less.

In this article, I'm going to talk about how to manage your money and get the most out of having fun while still having some or even more money.

Setting

When it comes to setting, you have to know your sister numbers: 5&9, 4&10, and 6&8. You have to set your numbers accordingly on the dice. For example, when wanting to roll a 6 or a 8, set your dice to 3/3,6/2 or 5/1, 4/4. Always remember that your set is the same as your point. Be careful to not double pitch because in this case, you CAN roll a 7 out. Double pitching is defined as one dice rolling 2x more than your required set.

Going back to the 6&8 set, the 3/3,6/2 can turn into a 3/4, 6/1. Those odds between rolling a 6, 8, or 7 are 6 to 2 (seven).

Throwing

How you throw the dice plays a big part of your outcome. Since you control the dice, you control the game including the loss/winnings. Most casino craps tables have a vinyl type of fabric that will cause the dice to bounce, which causes double pitching. That why how you throw is the counter. So you start by gently griping the dice close together with your index, middle, and ring finger to the front and thumb in the back.

You raise the dice 1 inch above and in a curling motion away from your throwing target as if you're about to throw a frisbee in a upward vertical motion. Lastly, throw the dice towards the wall by swinging your dice, uncurling your hand and releasing your thumb. See where I underlined "towards the wall"? That's because most crap players hit the wall which throws off the dice axis and make you roll random numbers (possibly a 7). Always throw to the wall; NOT THROUGH THE WALL.

Trend

Every craps table and player has a trend. Make sure you pay attention, discover, and follow it. Most of my time playing, I always knew when there would be 7, 11, and crap numbers. One or two players would roll a PSO (point seven out), the other would roll a few numbers before a 7, and the next would roll up to four points before a 7. The trend never changed and I would always go home with extra cash.

Follow your trend. If you see field numbers roll a lot, bet the field. If you see a pattern between a shooter rolling craps and 7s, bet accordingly. If you see a table rolling the opposite of what you're betting, leave and come back later. Those are usually called Tornado Tables.

Practice Makes Perfect

No matter how many times you watched a video, read a book, or this article, don't even think about hitting the real tables without some practice! As the header says, "Practice Makes Perfect". You practice by knowing and strengthening your weakness. If you have trouble of rolling the dreaded 7 after a established point, practice your throwing and trend. There's valuable websites where you can buy dice and layouts to practice on.

If you have trouble betting wrong, practice sticking to betting a certain type of number. Know when to "turn off" your bets if you know that dreaded seven is coming. If you want to become a hot shooter at the tables, practicing is the golden ticket!

Conclusion

Sometimes, you won't be a unicorn when it comes to shooting craps at the table. Don't worry! It's just gambling. That's why you only spend money you can afford to lose and don't rely on it being another full time job. I followed these 4 tips and never left the craps table with $0. Along with same betting, I made sure I always have cash in my pocket.

Don't believe me? Check out the video below on how I played! I simulated playing 30 rolls at Casino Quest in Las Vegas. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
