Hoenn's Secret Bases are back!

If you're like me, you lie awake at night, pondering your place in the infinite vastness of the universe, and wondering what the future might hold. Fortunately, we know one thing for sure: Hoenn remakes are finally coming, and they're sounding better all the time.

One definite feature fans really wanted to see again is secret bases, those fun little holes-in-the-wall (or trees, or bushes) that let you create and customize your very own Pokemon home away from home. Pokemon has been a pretty good franchise for giving fans what they want, and once again we're not disappointed.

The official Pokemon website gave us an exciting teaser for the old fan-favorite feature:

"Create a Secret Base that’s all your own, including selecting and placing Decorations however you like. You can use Decorations to create tricks in your Secret Base, decide the rules for what kind of Pokémon battles are allowed there, and make it like your very own Pokémon Gym! Then get ready for other players to come and challenge you!"\

All right! Time to build a sumptuous palace to retreat to after pounding my rivals into the dust. Pokemon masters have to crash in style, after all!
