Halo Infinite’s Major Update Has Been Announced (Titled Season 3: Echoes Within)

Halo Infinite, the latest iteration of the popular first-person shooter video game series, is set to receive its most significant multiplayer update with the release of Season 3: Echoes Within.

Developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios, Halo Infinite has been eagerly anticipated by fans since its announcement in 2018.

Ahead of the new season’s launch on March 7, 343 Industries has released a trailer showcasing the new maps, modes, weapons, and cosmetics that will be added to the game.

The Season 3: Echoes Within launch trailer highlights three new maps developed by 343 Industries. The first is the Big Team Battle map Oasis, which takes place in a red desert with a small grassy oasis on the map.

Players can expect to engage in large-scale battles on this map, which features open areas and tight corridors. The other two maps, Cliffhanger and Chasm, are Arena maps.

Cliffhanger is set on a mountain with melting snow around the map, offering a unique environment for players to explore. Chasm, on the other hand, takes place in a Forerunner construct, adding an element of sci-fi to the game.

Along with these new maps, four new community maps will also be added to the community playlist, with Art’s Room headlining the drop. In addition, players will now earn XP in the community playlist.

The update will also introduce two new weapons to Halo Infinite’s arsenal. The first is the Shroud Screen equipment, which creates a medium-sized bubble that obstructs visibility, making it difficult for players to see both inside and outside the bubble.

This equipment will be a valuable tool for players looking to surprise their opponents or escape from dangerous situations. The second weapon is the Bandit rifle, a spiritual successor to the DMR.

Like the DMR, the Bandit rifle offers high-powered single-shots but without the scope, allowing players to engage their opponents at medium to long range with precision.

The new game mode, Escalation Slayer, is another exciting addition. It works similarly to Call of Duty’s Gun Game, where players obtain a new weapon after each kill while working their way through every weapon in the game.

This mode will provide a fresh and challenging experience for players looking to test their skills.

Finally, the update will also include a wide range of new cosmetics for players to customize their Spartans with.

The sizzle reel of new cosmetics promises some vibrant colors and patterns, giving players even more options to make their Spartans unique.

In addition to these cosmetics, there are some story teasers for the battle pass theme, showing a Spartan going through some trippy and traumatizing events, presumably related to the Echoes Within season name.
