Who Don't Play

Playing games is a favorite pastime of a whole generation; We all have played some so it's not a revelation.

From Atari to Sega on to the new VR versions out now that we know; All a kid wants is the game system the last commercial happened to show.

Nintendo with the Mario Brothers regardless what number is just good classic fun; Of course always enjoyed the second game on the original one.

Duck Hunt was great especially if layed up healing bone broken on your body; Could just remain still from a distance and shoot til you got him.

One of my favorites comes from way back when I was young, just a teen; Rather forgotten game called Bonks Adventure on Turbo Grafx 16.

Your character had a tiny body but a gigantic head used to break things slow or quick. Plus the Turbo helped introduce us to another character by name of Sonic.

Obviously there is the PlayStation and with that my favorite shooter game of all time; Syphon Filter was its its and name introduce me to using logic to solve a crime.

In this game you didn't just unload clips or shoot non-stop at will; Instead you had to make particular shots to prevent things like making a kill.

I vividly recall one scene in a museum involving a skeleton of a dinosaur; Had to crawl to an exact spot and shoot the enemy in his arm to score.

To allow him to live was new and crazy at the time to me; Many shooter games came after but that's number one in history.

Now the next system straight blew my mind apart and that's a fact; Wasn't around too long if memory serves and that was DreamCast.

What was so revolutionary about it, just what to the table did it bring; Just Google the first 30 seconds of their version of 'The Thing'.

While chopper flying through the sky they ask what do you see or know? In response you hear " not a god dam thing in this snow. "

Now that was first time I heard cursing in a video game; For me after that playing games was never again the same.

Since then there has been GTA plus many more games even more vulgar; RPGs of all kinds whether be fighting, racing, or going back in time as a soldier.

Before long I'm sure playing a game will be like real life action films that you feel; If you get hurt in the game then translates to an injury for real.

When that day comes can you imagine how bad the public will outcry? When it's possible for a 5 year old to innocently play a game and die.

Parents will do any and everything they can to outlaw all the games in the world; Then like everything before it made illegal will be controlled by crime lords.

Can Cyou envision instead of Game Stop needing to find a dealer around? Then trying to hide game systems to play moving thru the underground

Seems funny to me to think of games in the same sense as a drug; Or when buying a game system means having to find a plug.

Searching for the best deal on the block in the black market; This day is on its way heed my words like a prophet.

Even the blind can see that things are moving in this ridiculous direction; Only time will tell as with all things, this is merely my suggestion.

Be prepared eto not be taking by complete surprise when it occurs; Who knows by then maybe something different be available that you will prefer.
