When the words "early access" are uttered in relation to an MMO, there's no doubt that heads turn. Dedicated fans will steel themselves in preparation for what's to come. These fans will grind, they will play, they will bog down the servers as they race around the clock to be the first to eat through the game's content. But these fans won't be prepared for the snags. Those snags can be a problem, especially when the #EarlyAccess is promoted as the game's functioning pre-order.

The early access Square Enix promotes usually takes place on temporary servers. Ones that aren't exactly stable. For those of us who have been playing the early access for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, we've been stuck with a nightmare, one that has the developers working nonstop to resolve the issues so that we can keep playing.

A Litany Of Pre-Launch Problems

Some people are encountering errors such as "System error occurred during event movement," which disables their ability to progress through either the samurai or red mage job quests to introduce them to their new jobs. Another error is players commonly being kicked from the servers, which disables their ability to easily login due to queues being in the thousands for some, and even higher for others.

Another issue is that Square Enix has placed some build-in restrictions such as server queues, server restarts. Some of this even has broken down tot he point players haven't even been able to continuing forth with Stormblood due to over-crowded locations around quest givers such as Raubahn, the Bull of Ala Mhigo, which moves players through their story in the campaign. Downside is? Over population is preventing players from moving through the game they payed for. The same issue occurs with both the samurai and red mage job quest givers. The downside here? Square Enix has actually requested players who are unable to continue to try again later. The result of these bugs? Some hilarious memes.

The Internet is Reacting Hilariously to Stormblood's Early Access Troubles

While I could just go on and on what they are saying. Lets just take a peek at what they are doing.

If you're Rauhban, the attention is probably unwanted, and I can only imagine how heated he is getting from the heat of Ala Mhigo and all those adoring fans.

It's bad enough people are also forming a line to meet with the Bull of Ala Mhigo. Someone get these ladies and gentlemen some food and beverages!

And others are not amused, but it goes to show that fans are still adoring the game and enjoying it for what it is. While Tuesday could certainly bring in more issues. There's no doubt that Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is one of the biggest releases so far this summer.
