10 custom magic items ready to be dropped into any Dungeons and Dragons 5e campaign.

Earthshaker Boots

Most earthshaker boots are made of leather and odorned with various raw semi-precious stones. Originally designed by dwarves to aid in their mining operations, these boots are able to cause small but violent tremors around the wearer.  Adventurers that come across these boots now have found other uses for this unique power.

Bluster Ring

Made of simple stone set with a single amber jewel that is attuned to the Elemental Plane of Air, this ring grants its wearer the ability to use gusts from that plane to give themselves some room between them and their opponent. Proper use of this ring can take hand to hand combat to the next level.

Belt of the Primal Beast

This simple leather belt is adorned with the fur, teeth, claws, and other trophies from various predatory animals. These trophies are usually collected by the belt's maker. This connection to the predatory allows the belt's magic to imbue the wearer with many of those beast's traits.

Pestilence Staff

These powerful staffs are carved from ancient cyprus branches that left to rot while cults dedicated to deities and demons of filth and disease perform rituals that bind foul magics to them. Rare is the staff that is not in active use sowing woe and suffering in the hands of one of these cult members.  Many cults will go to the ends of the earth to recover one that is lost.

Bringer of the Dawn

Prized by anyone dedicated to eradicating creatures of the night, this small rod is an invaluable tool against certain undead. Measuring about a foot long, this wooden rod is sharp on one end and infused with the power of Sun deities. This makes them especially powerful weapons against vampires.

Chocker of the Red Dragon

These chokers were first created by dragons to bestow a portion of their power to their most loyal lieutenants. Over the millennia the secret to their construction has been rediscovered by the various "lesser" races, and are therefore just as likely to be found on a fire-eating bard as they are on a dragon cult leader.

Healing Circlet

This thin band is often given as a badge of office for questing clerics following Gods of light or healing, and are made of either gold or platinum. They are typically adorned with the holy symbol of the patron deity, though generally not large enough to be used as a holy symbol.

Amulet of the Magpie

A feather carved out of black onyx on a simple silver chain, this necklace is a boon to any spy attempting impersonation. Legend says that the first amulet was gifted to the most favored cleric of a long forgotten god of trickery in order to sow chaos. Today they can be found in use by spies, actors, and anyone who needs to believably be someone else.

Steak Knife

Many adventurers learn how to cook out of necessity to survive while out on adventure. Every so often a professional cook gets bored of their life in the kitchen and hits the open road. Many of them bring their old trade tool, because who doesn't need a sharp knife, and eventually they have those knives enchanted. No one lives forever though, and these knives more often than nit end up in some monster's hoard.

Ring of the Stolen Flame

Carved from a solid chunk of clear crystal mined from the heart of a volcano, this ring has the power to absorb any flames that threaten to harm the wearer. That energy is stored, causing the ring to glow a bright fiery orange.
