Call of Duty: WWII will be continuing the legacy of hiring big name actors for its leading roles, enlisting some familiar faces for the franchise's return to the European theater of war. The list includes #DoctorWho actor David Tennant who has been renowned for his work as the 10th Doctor and as Killjoy in the Marvel Netflix series #JessicaJones. But he's not the only one joining this year's Call of Duty cast. Let's take a look at who else will be appearing throughout the campaign and Nazi Zombies.

David Tennant as Drostan Hynd

From Doctor Who to Jessica Jones, David Tennant's resume is rather long. He's been well known for his enigmatic personality and charming good looks. However, he's trading in the spiky hair, sonic screwdriver, and super powers to play an art thief who has been stuck in a desperate situation. Due to the current zombie infestation, Tennant's role will be quite surprising in the upcoming Call of Duty: Zombies, as his character's info sheet seems to be giving us a hint at his role in the upcoming mode.

Josh Duhamel as Sgt William Pierson

Josh Duhamel is no stranger to acting in any form, including motion capture thanks to his work on franchises such as Michael Bay's Transformers, as well as appearing in the Skylander's franchise as the voice for High Volt. In Call of Duty: WWII the high-profile actor will be playing the role of Technical Sergeant William Pierson in the base campaign. Since little is known about his character's background outside of being from Unid, Oklahoma (rather E nid Oklahoma). Josh Duhamel could quite possibly deliver a performance for the ages in his first major on-screen performance in a triple-a game.

Katheryn Winnick as Marie Fischer

Katheryn Winnick is no stranger to taking on some serious roles. Known for her returning role on the drama series Vikings, Winnick is a promising member of the Call of Duty: WWII Zombies team where she will be taking up the role of Marie Fischer, a spy for the Office of Strategic Services. It's highly suggested she could quite possibly be one of the most valuable members in the upcoming Zombies mode.

Ving Rhames as Jefferson Potts

Ving Rhames is one of Hollywood's most prolific supporting actors. His most notable roles include Luther Stickell in the Mission Impossible franchise, George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead reboot, and even Quentin Tarantino's cult-classic film Pulp Fiction as Marsellus Wallace. This will be his first foray into the gaming industry, joining David Tennant and Katheryn Winnick in the Zombies mode.

Elodie Yung as Olivia Durant

Elodie Young is one of Hollywood's brightest up and coming actresses. Known for her roles in Gods of Egypt and Marvel's Netflix shows The Defenders and Daredevil, Yung will face the zombie hordes as the fourth playable character Olivia Durant.

When it comes to Call of Duty, there's no doubt that Activision will be hard at work preparing to provide one of the most immersive experiences to date. With stars such as Josh Duhamel and Ving Rhames leading two different experiences in the game, there's no doubt that whatever Activision has planned, fans have a reason to truly be excited for their upcoming title.
