It's finally happened, Ubisoft has confirmed what fans around the world have hoped and dreamed of: a new Assassin's Creed game. As part of #E32017, #Ubisoft blew fans away at Microsoft's press conference with the exhilarating cinematic trailer and in-game footage for Assassin's Creed Origins.

After all the rumors and leaks that swirled around the internet over the last nearly two years since Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Ubisoft officially put a name, Bayek, and face to the upcoming origin story and he looks like everything we would expect to see in an assassin.

#AssassinsCreed is going to go back in time rather than follow the trend of previous games of moving closer and closer to the modern age. Origins will predate everything that we know about the Assassins themselves - and it's everything that fans could want in another Assassin's Creed title.

Origins will take players back to the basics.

With the refinements that Ubisoft has taken to rebuild the combat system and introduce a new action-RPG leveling system at #E3, it's a smart step to bring players to where it began: the birth of the brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed: Origins will tell the story of Bayek, the last Medjay who is seen as the protector of Egypt and his story will lead to the birth of the Assassins Brotherhood. This story is where several of the elements that we know and love from the previous iterations of the franchise.

It's not only an origin story, it's also witnessing key moments of the franchise and the reasons why decisions were made - Jean Guesdon (Creative Director)

The Origins of Eagle Vision

The connection with your eagle, Sanu, is how the assassin trait "Eagle Vision" was born. By utilizing your partnering eagle to view the landscape and identify targets, dangers and new paths you'll be able to interact with the world in a new way. This skill is what slowly evolves into Eagle Vision as we know it.

The Origins of Stealth

Obviously what would an assassin be without stealth, but ultimately it's one of the skills that had to be defined at some point, and with Assassin's Creed: Origins it makes sense to introduce the skill tree as it is to define how the assassins learned the skills that they have over the years.

The Origins of The Brotherhood

This is really what the story revolves around, Assassin's Creed: Origins tells the story of Bayek, and through his actions and adventures the brotherhood of assassins are born. How exactly the brotherhood will play out isn't quite known, but it's likely that Bayek will be able to recruit new assassins to further his mission.

However you feel about the franchise, #AssassinsCreed will be a revolution for the franchise and completely overhaul the future of the game.

Assassin's Creed: Origins will be available October 27, 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
