Question, a studio comprised of some of the industries top game dev veterans has announced an all-new horror game called, The Blackout Club.

Coming from the guys that brought you Bioshock, Bioshock 2, BioShock Infinite and Dishonoured, comes an all-new cooperative horror experience that has a little bit of a Stranger Things vibe.

The Blackout Club centres around a group of teens located in a small town who are forced to band together after learning they’ve all been temporarily losing consciousness.

The older members of the community refuse to listen or interact with the teens when the subject arises meaning the teens must, themselves, investigate what is going on.

According to what we have been told so far by Question, the teens go on to discover "a hostile underworld, populated by a clandestine group of adults."

All the characters in the game are playable and totally customizable, each "with a variety of powers and equipment loadouts." Each character has their own role to play and their abilities will reflect their class, in that respect.

The group must attempt to secure evidence and to prove that there really is something sinister going on. So far, it all sounds very straight-forward but looking at the portfolio of the development team, we can rest assured that this will be atmospheric as heck and terrifying to boot.

“Every night will be a different adventure as the team seeks out additional clues and explores new parts of their neighbourhood and its ominous underbelly. The club must trust no one as they get closer to finding out what happened to their missing friend - and the cause of their uncontrollable blackouts.” - Question.

Players will level up as they go, mission by mission, and that is how you "acquire new abilities for use on future outings."

Outside of the synopsis, unfortunately, we do not know much more about the game. We can expect it to land on Xbox One, PS4 and PC but a release date is still unannounced (we suspect a Q1, 2019 release). Ready for more horror?
