Browsing YouTube for gaming channels can be a bit of a pain sometimes. We can look up the next big livestream or long video (since many big gaming Youtube channels seem to be into that now), but what if we want something a little... shorter? Something quicker?

Like skip the in-between—I want the good moments now.

There are always moments when we feel that, even if we're usually into those long video game series. We can watch highlight videos of our favorite gamers, but we have to wait for them to finish the series first.

Well, there are some gamers out there who are great to watch when your attention span is... not doing so well one day.

Gamers in this category are generally those who have gained particular expertise in compiling montages, quick transitions, and including their overall originality into every piece they make. These channels also incorporate a lot of humor if they can—whether each joke hits its mark or not is up to the viewer.

So then, here are seven gaming channels to watch when you have a shortened attention span (in no particular order).

1. videogamedunkey

First on the list is videogamedunkey, known in the past for his contributions to the LoL community (as much as searching into the past seems to pain him), now known for various Overwatch videos, tough game reviews, Mario platformers, and overall arbitrary video ideas.

His gaming videos are in highlights, short and sweet, with dry and "I'm-the-best" humor, which he's usually forced to backtrack. His reviews garner attention for how tough he can be on game developers (scoring a four out of five is considered a great score), with the occasional bias—and, sometimes, reeling in other YouTubers to review his reviews.

Lots of trolling, lots of platformers, and lots of randomness. If you're looking for any or all of that, this is the perfect gaming channel for you.

2. VanossGaming

Probably the most famous YouTube gamer on this list, this Canadian's channel contains various highlight videos of funny moments, mostly of Black Ops, GTAV, and Garry's Mod. He and his associates are fun to listen to, and the channel homepage itself is relatively flashy.

His highlight videos are fast-paced, loud, and lightly-edited with background music and sounds where appropriate, making this channel great for when you really need a pick-me-up in the form of YouTube gaming.

3. TheRussianBadger

Similar to the previous entry, TheRussianBadger is known for fast-paced and loud gaming highlight videos; in his case, this is particularly true for his Rainbow Six Siege videos. On top of being loud, he is also quite articulate, so you won't ever have to go back in the video wondering what he just said.

He is one of the more explicit entries on this list. However, with his flashy editing, this is another good channel to watch if you are looking for something with quick transitions and a high tempo.

It is good to be mindful that this channel does have some controversy behind it, in terms of comments toward specific groups of people; however, it still does fit the criteria set forth in the introduction of this article.

4. SovietWomble

If we were talking flashy before, this guy is anything but—at least in terms of thumbnails and channel style.

SovietWomble is known for two things: his "ZF Clan" (as he and his Twitch buddies have called themselves), and his subtitles. Simple and to-the-point with some light editing, it's less about the game, and more about the words on the screen.

Of all entries on this list, SovietWomble has mastered the art of making subtitles take on a life of their own, as they move and bounce around the screen to simulate various happenings in the games he plays, including shouting, singing, meditation, gunshots, whale noises, and radio frequency, among other things. He even takes extra care to make the text follow each player as if attached to the top of their heads, during larger multiplayer games such as CS:GO and Arma III.

If you're looking for some quality highlight videos with subtitles, take a look at this channel.

5. Airforceproud95

Airforceproud95 formats his videos and channel similar to SovietWomble in their simplicity and subtitles. All of his gaming videos center around Flight Simulator, a game in which players fly and land airplanes, while also communicating with the main terminal.

In trying to "keep things realistic," his videos showcase various scenarios in which things are not at all realistic, to which he would respond with the appropriate dry humor, and official-sounding reporter voice.

Although his videos may be a little slower and monotonous than others on this list, he is still a great YouTuber to watch for simplicity and entertaining highlight videos.

6. SuperButterBuns

Inarguably the YouTuber with the longest videos on this list, SuperButterBuns's videos are still fast-paced, well-written, and well-edited enough to keep your attention all the way, until that eight-minute or 40-minute video is up.

On her channel, you will find explanatory videos, videos in which she "yells" (or gives commentary/reviews) about games, and also some Twitch highlights. Most of her choices of games center around the anime genre, like Persona, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc.

In terms of content and analysis, you won't be disappointed. She knows her gaming and knows how to captivate an audience with her video scriptwriting, similar to the acclaimed MatPat from Game Theory and associated channels. Her talk is quick with transitions to match, so make sure you're paying close attention.

7. Kilian Experience

Last on this list is Kilian Experience, a Swedish gamer known for his comical delivery and fast-paced video editing. His videos follow through using a highlight-style, along with well-placed background music and a script to describe a story.

Like SuperButterBuns, his videos may seem a little long, but he is quick with great commentary and light edits. His entertaining dry humor and delivery will keep you captivated until the very last minute.

I hope you enjoyed this list, and make sure to check out these YouTubers when your attention span is feeling it off one day.
