1.) You cannot see names or player names through chests or signs.

If you are hiding from other people (say UHC), you can surround the place you are hiding with chests or signs. This way, you can move around without using shift.

2.) One lava bucket will fuel your furnace for a thousand seconds (plus you get your bucket back).

Most people use coal or charcoal, which fuels the furnace for about one minute, but if you fill a bucket with lava and put it in the furnace in place of coal, it will use take the lava and return the bucket to you. You will notice that the furnace stays fueled a lot longer.

3.) It will take 400 shots with snowballs to kill the ender dragon.

Most people use a bow and arrow and a diamond sword to kill the boss. Although this works just fine, it has been proven that, if you can hit it with 400 snowballs, it will die. The difficult part of this is trying to hit it.

4.) Baby animals cannot not swim like adult animals.

When leading an animal with food, you tend to have to go through some water. This feature makes it ten times more difficult. If you are leading a baby animal across water, it will not follow you like adults will, but rather it will stay on the shore.

5.) The ghast sounds are just the production manager Daniel waking up from a nap, but with a little bit of auto tune.

I don't really have any explanation for this.

6.) Pistons will only push a max of 12 blocks.

We all know the piston and sticky piston, and all great redstoners have used it once or twice. Although it seems cool, there is only so much the magical gadget can handle.

7.) Brewing stands will always face east no matter what.

When you place down a brewing stand, click F3 and hover over the block to see which direction it is facing. Now try placing it from a different angle. You will notice that it still remains facing east.

8.) An obsidian block has a blast resistance of 6000.

Those of you who play factions know that obsidian should not be your main defense. This is because, although it may be difficult, it is still possible to blow up an obsidian block. In order for it to be unbreakable, such as bedrock, it needs a blast residence of at least 100000.

9.) An enderman cannot teleport when in a two-block deep hole.

I'm sure everyone here has died to an enderman at least once in their Minecraft lifetime. This is a new trick to killing them. When in a 2-block deep hole they will be unable to teleport out and kill you leaving them completely vulnerable.

10.) Baby zombies, baby chickens, endermites, and silverfish can fit in a quarter of a block.

Because of their small size, these mobs can fit in small places such as in between fences or iron bars.

11.) When a witch drinks a potion, its nose will point straight forward.

This tip is very useful when fighting a witch because, you never know if the potion in hand is about to be thrown at you. It also is a sign the she is healing, which isn't a good thing.

12.) A mob will stop pursuing you when you stand in fully grown sugarcane.

So say you are fighting a skeleton from a long distance and their aim is incredible. Using this, you can simply hide in some sugarcane and they will stop shooting you.

13.) Hostile mobs cannot spawn on mushroom islands.

The only mobs that spawn on Mushroom island is the mooshroom. Therefore, if you want to be safe at night, then build your house on a mushroom island.

14.) In spectator mode, if you left click on a mob, you will take their point of view.

A pretty cool feature that many people don't know about. Although it is fun, it is very trippy, and for some of them, it will make you nauseous.

15.) Before 1.12’s color update, there were 884,736 different ways to make a bed using all the combinations.

Not really a helpful tip anymore, but still really cool.
