The Truth About What Happens When Panic Becomes Treasure
Is it time to get on board with the rest, or is it just a fad? The Doomsday Industry is still exploding with business, but why?

Even the relatively normal celebrities, or those who aren't known for being eccentric, are getting into the bunker mentality when it comes to their future preparedness. When even Josh Duhamel is building a survival compound, the popularity has obviously spread. Or is it just a popular thing for the rich and well-off to do?
The panic industry is predicted to grow exponentially between 2025 and 2031 across nearly every market examined. From the United States and the bunkers in the Black Hills of South Dakota to every other country, people are experiencing panic and fear at new and unimagined levels. What drives this market?
Geo/political Instability
In one form or another, America has now been involved in war for the majority of the last 26 years. We are seeing the longest and most expansive stretch of armed conflict in history. From the attacks on 9/11 to Iraq, then Ukraine, and then Iran, there's been hardly a moment of peace known by an entire generation and the beginnings of another.
These continued and expansive periods of armed conflicts, widespread unrest, and violence have plunged the world into metaphorical darkness. And there seems to be no respite from it happening, and happening again.
And during the years since 2022, the threat of nuclear attacks has returned to a level not felt by most since the end of the Cold War. Vladimir Putin and men like Kim Jong-un have rattled the nuclear saber on more than one occasion. And in America, Americans have rightly feared the responses from senile old men in elected positions.
Pandemics
The outbreak of COVID-19 changed the world. And the leaders of the world didn't do most of us any favors. Political upheaval during the pandemic, a world ruled by fear, rulers suffering from old age, being out of touch, and dementia issues, and political corruption left all of us scrambling, and most of us never knowing the truth.
There was one commonly accepted fact. To live, without risk of COVID-19 leaving you seriously ill or worse, you had to stop living. Catching the virus from someone was a scary idea for so many that things came to a screeching halt. And people accepted a bunker mentality.
The next pandemic may be upon us already, or it could be even worse. Did you know anyone with similar symptoms of the last one who was sick months before we knew what was happening? Many people did. But, through the last one, we hopefully learned about fear. Fear is as dangerous as the diseases that can break out.
Climate Change
Perhaps the second most dangerous thing that pushes the feeling that we need to prepare is the threat of climate change. After years of hearing about how dangerous it is and the threat it poses, we're seeing it in real time. And it's an awesome and strikingly powerful thing to behold.
The temperature of our planet has gotten progressively hotter. The oceans are rising, which will force millions out of their homes and destroy businesses in coastal regions. Those things push people to relocate, and that threatens to change the face of countries. The uncertainties of survival can turn people to preparing for a bunker lifestyle.
Consider the effects we're seeing right now. When massive wildfires, such as the ones in Canada, change the air quality in the United States, it is an international problem. And when it comes to climate, countries differ on their approach, political ideologies differ, and the overall effect on us is that little gets done.
Apocalyptic Events
Once upon a time, an ELE did occur. An extinction-level event is what created the Chicxulub crater and killed off the dinosaurs and 75 percent of all life on Earth.
Most of us have seen the movies portraying extinction-level events as the source of conflict or problem and then bringing in the unlikely heroes to save the day.
What do you think the chances are that it won't happen again? In 2029, one of the closest approaches by a dangerously sized NEO (Near Earth Object) will happen when Apophis passes by on April 13th. It's predicted to come in between 18,000 and 20,000 miles from the surface, putting it closer to Earth than most of our satellites. It was originally projected to impact.
Scientists believe that asteroid Bennu will strike the planet.
From nuclear wars to a catastrophic solar storm, asteroid strikes to the Yellowstone Supervolcano erupting, science has identified multiple events that could change or end life on this planet as we know it.
When Panic Turns Into Treasure
The fact about any popular thought is that it presents an opportunity. When panic and fear began to grow around the future of humanity and our existence, much like it did during the 40s, 50s, and 60s, a new avenue becomes available. The very thing we should be trying to prevent, if there's nothing to any of this, becomes the embers that cause a market to catch on fire.
Already, we have seen multiple companies formed. Companies that specialize in the design and construction of bunkers for the market of buyers out there.
As an example, in the Black Hills of South Dakota, VIVOS xPOINT Shelter has accommodations available for more than 5,000 like-minded survivalists to ride out the end of times. It is the current world record holder for the World's Largest Doomsday Bunker Community.
The law of supply and demand takes over when there is a perceived need for...well, anything. And that's what's happened. When the fear and concern grew, and guys like Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and other informed tech billionaires started building these compounds for surviving something horrific, a market to serve the worst fears of humankind was born.
