Caravaggio and Art Beyond The Mannerism. Top Story - May 2022.
Imagine you are in the 17th century in a time where few paintings had lighting and depth, looking at a Caravaggio painting for the first time, it's probably impossible for us to have that same mentality, in a time before TV, film, photography and screens, when the only visual arts describing human forms were paintings and sculptures.

Alphabets have a distinctive imprint in the history of writing
We usually say that the alphabet is the backbone of a language, and that's absolutely true! The alphabet consists of various signs that make it possible to transcribe all the sounds of a language in order to deconstruct them, no matter how complex. The alphabet, then, is the literal translation of each sound that contributes to the formation of a particular word or phrase, whether it has a meaning or not.

Unsinkable: The Aircraft Carrier Made Out of Ice
It looked good on paper, a WWII aircraft carrier 2,000 feet long and 300 feet wide, three times larger than any other carrier at the time and capable of carrying 200 Spitfire fighters or 100 Mosquito fighter-bombers. Its size and bulk would make it impervious to bombs or torpedoes rendering it virtually unsinkable. And it would be made out of ice.

What Is Astrology?
Astrology is the study of celestial bodies and their connection to events on Earth. We look at astrology much like a wall on the clock. The clock indicates the time but it does not cause the time. Similarly, astrologers do not believe that Mars (or any other planet) sends down its fiery rays every now and again to stir things up, but rather the symbolism and movements of Mars may be applied to our earthly events to develop a further understanding of our world, and in some cases of very talented astrologers, to predict the future.

The Panama Canal
Is it really ok to do the unthinkable? to be one of those that dared? When we turn the pages of history and everything has been said and done, who are the ones that will be remembered? The ones that comply? We know that history is written by the winner, to be that, you have to go against all odds. “Nothing that results in human progress is achieved in unanimous consent. Those that are enlightened before the others are condemned to pursue that light in spite of others.” I know that this famous quote by the great explorer Christopher Columbus comes in handy with the scope of my topic. This quote speaks about the true nature of those who dare to go above and beyond to achieve greatness, one of them is without any doubt the obsession of the Old World to keep going West in search for greener pastures.
