Seeing Einstein's shoes, we finally understand why there is only a half-length photo of him in the textbook

The name that must be avoided in learning physics is Einstein. He proposed the special theory of relativity, the general theory of relativity, "Time Magazine" selected as one of the 20 greatest great men in the world. In physics textbooks, Einstein is always in a mess, and his hair seems to be uncombed. But when he was young, he was a beautiful man, and some people even said that if he put pictures of young people in his physics textbook, his grades could improve several degrees.

What were you doing when you were 10 years old? Maybe even racking their brains on how to cheat some pocket money. Can you believe it? At 16, Einstein taught himself advanced numbers. At the age of 16, I taught myself calculus. These are all things that are only learned in college, and Einstein actually taught himself. Sure enough, scientists are ahead of ordinary people every step of the way.

After learning this knowledge, Einstein had questions. Classical mechanics puts forward the concept of absolute time and space. What will people see if they move at the speed of light? This question also paved the way for Einstein to propose general relativity. In 1915, at the age of 36, Einstein proposed the complete form of the gravitational equation of general relativity, perfecting the deficiencies of Newton's classical mechanics.

Einstein made great contributions to the development of human science, but in his later years he said, "I don't want to be a scientist anymore, I'd rather be a craftsman or a hawker." what about this? This is what Einstein realized after the war.

Einstein grew up in a period of human change. In the 1920s and 1930s, countless new sciences emerged and countless new inventions were applied. That era was also a bad era for mankind. When the world war broke out, it caused countless human casualties. Einstein was staunchly opposed to war while conducting scientific research.

Einstein was a German Jew, and unfortunately the two world wars were fought by Germany. During the First World War, war advocates incited scientists to issue a "manifesto of a civilized world" to find a reason for Germany to start the war. Even scientists like Planck signed it. Einstein not only refused, but turned around Go and sign the Anti-War Letter to the Europeans.

During World War II, Einstein broke his heart for world peace. In 1922, he first joined the League of Nations, working to coordinate peace among nations. Einstein also received death threats and had to leave Berlin. But the organization was so weak that Einstein quit the following year. After thinking about it later, I went back and contributed my own strength. As a result, in 1930, the inaction of the League of Nations stimulated Einstein, and he retreated all the way.

Einstein resolutely opposed fascism and admired the Communist Party of the Soviet Union with a communist ideology. In 1917, Lenin won the revolution. Although Einstein believed that Lenin's method was impractical, he coincided with him in one point, that is, to safeguard the conscience of mankind and sacrifice for social justice. Therefore, when the Seven Gentlemen of China were arrested, and when China was invaded by Japan, Einstein ran around the world for help, hoping that all countries could provide help.

Einstein, bent on curbing the development of fascism, proposed the diabolical "Manhattan Project" to the U.S. government. At that time, Germany was studying the atomic bomb, and Einstein could only hope that the United States would create it first and defeat fascism. With Einstein's support, the Manhattan Opportunity brought together 100,000 people and mobilized the best scientists in the West. In the end, the atomic bomb was successfully built, but the American dream of weapons could not stop.

Einstein wanted to fix one demon, but inadvertently created another. The United States continued to develop atomic energy after that. Einstein opposed it. In 1950, he gave a speech publicly expressing his opposition to the United States making a hydrogen bomb. U.S. Senator McCarthy denounced Einstein as an enemy of the United States. It is against this background that Einstein reluctantly said that he did not want to be a scientist. Einstein wanted to use the power of science to maintain the peace of mankind, but he never thought of handing a knife to the devil.

I don’t know if you have noticed that Einstein in the textbook is always a half-length photo, and rarely shows his whole body. Do you look at what Einstein wore on his feet? A pair of women's sandals. Scientists can be quite informal. There are still many cute moments of Einstein, such as sticking out his tongue.

This photo was taken in 1951, on Einstein's 72nd birthday. After the banquet, the reporters kept taking pictures, and some reporters made Einstein smile. Einstein stuck out his tongue helplessly, not like a prudent grandfather at all. Since then, this photo has been placed in textbooks and has become a classic photo of Einstein. If Einstein knew that he was meeting children with such a face, I wonder if he would regret sticking his tongue out when taking pictures?
