Puberty: Hidden Brain Trigger
A hidden system that turns boys into teenagers How your brain silently starts transforming your body

## Puberty Series Part 2: The Testosterone Storm
In Part 1, you understood that puberty begins with a signal from the brain, which opens the door to changes throughout the body.
Now the real question is, what happens to the body once this system is turned on?
The simple answer is: the body undergoes a major chemical “reprogram,” and at the center of it is a powerful hormone—testosterone.
This is a time when the body doesn’t just grow, it changes. Thinking patterns, body shape, voice, emotions—everything slowly shifts in a new direction.
# How does the testosterone journey begin?
When the brain signals puberty, a hormonal cascade begins that activates various parts of the body.
These hormones travel throughout the body through the bloodstream and trigger various changes everywhere.
This is the moment when the childhood body slowly begins to transform into the adult body.
# Why do pimples appear on the face?
The first and most obvious change during puberty is often seen on the face.
Testosterone makes the oil glands in the skin more active.
These glands produce oil to keep the skin soft, but when this oil becomes excessive, the pores begin to become blocked.
Result:
* Pimples on the face (acne)
* Oily skin
* Sometimes mild inflammation
This is not a sign of any disease, but the result of a temporary imbalance of hormones. Over time, the body adjusts itself.

# Why does the voice change?
There is a part inside the throat called the voice box.
During puberty, testosterone makes this part larger and stronger.
This causes the structure of the voice to change.
During this process:
* The voice becomes deeper
* Sometimes the voice breaks
* The voice remains unstable for some time
This is completely normal because the body is setting the new voice.
# Why does height grow rapidly?
The most surprising effect of puberty is on height.
At this age, the growth plates inside the bones become very active.
Hormones signal these plates to grow rapidly.
The result:
* Height starts to increase suddenly
* Hands and feet become longer
* Body structure changes
That is why clothes and shoes start to look smaller in a few months.
# Why does hair grow on the body?
Testosterone makes the soft hair on the body thicker and more visible.
This change is more visible in specific places:
* Hair in the armpits
* Pubic hair
* Beard and mustache on the face
All these are clear signs of the body becoming mature.
* Why do emotions become so intense?
Puberty doesn’t just change the body, it also affects the brain.
Hormones make the emotional part of the brain more sensitive.
Because of this, feelings become more intense.
Result:
* Anger comes quickly
* Small things seem big
* Happiness and sadness are felt more deeply
This is all normal, because the brain is also adjusting to the new “adult system”.
# Why do you feel attraction?
At this age, some parts of the brain produce chemicals that create interest in other people.
This is a completely natural process, which aims to enhance human development and social bonding.
This does not mean that something is wrong, but rather it is a biological stage of the body.
* Why does energy change in the body?
During puberty, the body uses more energy because it is growing rapidly.
That's why:
* Hunger increases
* Body feels more active
* Sometimes fatigue also occurs quickly
All this is part of the body's growth system.
## The role of sleep
Sleep plays a very important role in puberty.
The body's hormones are more active at night, especially during deep sleep.
This is when the body repairs and develops itself.
That's why:
* Sleep is deeper
* The body undergoes more changes at night
* The body may feel different in the morning
## The reality of nightfall
During puberty, the body continues to produce sperm.
When this amount increases, the body automatically releases it, mostly during sleep.
This process:
* Is completely normal
* Is the body's natural pressure release system
* It does not cause any weakness or disease
It is just part of the body's balance.
## What is puberty really?
To put it simply, puberty is a biological upgrade.
This is the time when:
* The brain gives a signal
* Hormones are activated
* The body changes from childhood to adulthood
This change does not happen in one day, but is completed gradually.
1. Testosterone is the main hormone for major changes in the body
2. Acne, voice, height and hair are all effects of this
3. Emotions and attraction are part of brain changes
4. Sexual desire is a normal and natural process
5. Puberty is a gradual biological transformation
*What will be the next part*
In Part 3 we will talk about:
* Why the brain feels confused
* Why self-confidence changes
* And how to make this whole period easier?
