What kind of a person is a Gemini?

I am not a Gemini personally, but I have been surrounded by them my whole life.

In this article, I am going to write all about the Gemini Personality.

I also feel the need to mention that every person in this world is different to some degree. You may find, if you're a Gemini, that you possess some of these qualities or you may find that you hardly have any of them, or that you possess all. Whatever is true for you, is true for you. These are just various opinions and references pulled together from lots of research and if it doesn't seem to fit you, that's fine. I hope you get a kick out of this article, nonetheless.

In Greek Mythology, the Gemini twins were derived from this story:

There were these twins named, Castor and Pollux. They were said to have different fathers, born from the same egg. Castor was the mortal son of King Tyndarus of Sparta and Pollux was the immortal son of Zeus. Castor and Pollux were identical twins who were completely inseparable in their looks and actions. Castor, being a great horseman, and Pollux, being a great fighter, both joined Jason on the Argo to save the ship from a terrible storm. They succeeded in their mission, but the mortal twin, Castor, had unfortunately lost his life during the battle. Pollux, heartbroken and distraught over losing his brother, begged and pleaded with Zeus to bring him back to life. Zeus agreed to immortalize both twins if they were to only spend half their time on Earth and the other half amongst the stars in the heavens. Ever since the twins (Gemini) joined the sky, when sailors were able to spot both of them, they knew that their journey would be prosperous, however, if only one of the brothers had appeared, it foretold bad luck.

So, you want to know about Gemini's, do you? You want to know how they act or react to situations. Maybe you know a few and you feel like they're a bit of a mystery. Maybe you want to befriend one. Well, here's the skinny on the Gemini personality.

Gemini traits are far more varied than those of other signs who usually have one very prominent quality. Geminis are generally quite passionate, yet very easy-going and they are always up for adventure and intellectual conversations. You'll never be bored if you hang out with this sign.

Geminis are known for having two personalities in one and it's a bit of a coin toss on which one you'll encounter when you speak with them. It's been mistakingly thought that they are 'two-faced' and deceitful, but it's actually an unfair assumption of the sign. It doesn't nearly tell the whole story of Gemini. Especially since, in reality, they rarely ever have any hidden agendas and keep themselves pretty transparent. When a Gemini comes into your life, they are very loyal during the duration of their knowing you. That being said, they aren't at all afraid to voice their opinion when they disagree with you or if they become under the impression that you're not being loyal to them.

Constantly "of two minds", they are able to see every side of a situation.

They express dual personalities making it hard to ever really know a Gemini completely. One moment, they will be very loving and affectionate, but the next they may very well be distant and detached. A constant battle between their emotions and intellect is going on.

Geminis are very expressive, perceptive, analytical, quick-witted, and, often at times, very funny. They also tend to have this uncanny ability to size someone's character up in a matter of seconds. Geminis are usually the first to notice if anyone is bluffing.

They are normally quite funny and hardly ever take themselves seriously. That being said, the Gemini sign can also be overly analytical at times which can lead them to be quite indecisive and will even feel extremely anxious or nervous about making decisions, especially big ones like moving or changing professions. On the other side of being adaptable, they can also be quite impulsive. They can change their minds in the blink of an eye and make reckless decisions such as buying something expensive when it's hard for them to pay their rent that month.

Being very social and communicative with such an outgoing demeanor, the Gemini sign really enjoys having a good time with friends. Although, they have the tendency to get serious and thoughtful from time to time as well.

If you can communicate with a Gemini on their level or even close to their level, they will light up entirely! For them, it's best to make at least 50% of the conversation an open-ended question. This will only delight the Gemini. They love keeping the conversation alive and moving.

They are talkative, but never annoyingly chatty. Most of the time, they will be partaking in a deep conversation about life and they are very clear communicators. They tend to be very wise beyond their years. Geminis are capable of being a wallflower or the life of the party. Adapting to the energy of the room is an easy thing for them to do. Gemini's can easily strike up conversations with complete strangers.

Geminis (being the twins) allow others to feel less alone because they have the ability to mirror other people's experiences. They allow people to feel less disengaged and Geminis can have people easily get along, no matter how dissimilar they may seem. Plus, they are comfortable being both, extroverted as well as introverted.

Geminis generally prefer to be in the company of others because they don't want to become trapped in their own minds. Their imaginations are quite powerful and it concerns them about what they will find when they finally tap into themselves completely. However, when they are able to tap into all of their energy, they become quite an unstoppable force of nature that will only inspire, motivate, and enchant every other Zodiac sign.

Geminis are known to have changeable and open minds, which makes this sign the ability to be great artists and writers. They are very curious and excited for new ideas, but are rarely ever able to complete a project (this flighty sign is always on the move and lose interest in things quickly).

They don't want their words to be misconstrued and they don't want to hurt anybody else's feelings along the way. They tend to react to their emotions rather than feel them.

The world, itself, seems to fascinate them with their curious nature and they often feel like there isn't enough time to experience everything they hope to. Geminis also have a childish innocence about them, they are always asking questions.

This sign really doesn't like being confined. They need the freedom to ask questions and explore. They wouldn't be too happy with you if you tried to place them in a box and restrict their movements (figuratively and literally). They thrive and survive when their curiosity gets answered and they handle their curiosity with elegance and grace. It's important for them to be able to get that intellectual stimulation and be able to have a great story to tell later on.

They are constantly searching for something they haven't seen before, something new. Gemini's are highly intelligent individuals who love to learn. You'll often find a Gemini with a book in his/ her hands (You could always ask a Gemini for good book recommendations).

An important lesson for the Gemini, though, is that there is no final destination. They need to learn to take responsibility for the situations they find themselves in and simply stop running.

Geminis are willing to try anything at least once. They will most likely be willing to go along with any plan and are usually willing to plan their own adventures. Crazy memories are bound to happen with a Gemini as your ally.

Spoiled plans won't ruin their days. They will just think of something even better to do. If you have a party to plan and a Gemini is a friend of yours, it's always a good idea to ask for their help because they usually come up with the best ideas.
