TIAGO MACHADO CASE

Several residents of District Pinheiro, in the city of Pirassununga (SP), watched, on February 6, 1969, at 7:30 am, a unique and moving spectacle: A luminous object descended from the sky, about 800 meters away, in the woods . According to one of the witnesses, D. Maria dos Santos, the object was moving up and down, just over half a meter above the ground.

Tiago Machado, 19 years old at the time, a neighbor of Lady Maria, thought it was a blue parachute, luminous, “totally bright”. The others said it was a flying saucer. And perhaps out of fear, no one wanted to accompany Tiago in search of the object. He equipped himself with binoculars over his shoulder and continued into the woods, always guided by the shouts of distant observers who, from where they were, had a better view.

Farther on, Tiago decided to ask his friend Francisco Hanser, who lived nearby, on the grounds of the Institute Zootécnic, for help. The two followed through the woods, one on the lower part, the other on the upper part.

Face to face with the flying saucer

Due to the thick and tall vegetation, Tiago only saw the object when he was only 10 meters away, even so, he only noticed a round, metallic structure, 1.50 m high, he looked for a better position and watched. Almost immediately, a door on the craft opened and two crew members floated out, one at a time, gently descending to the ground. However, inside the ship, he could make out two more watching him through the porthole.

They were small men. They would be 1.50 m high. They wore tight, aluminized clothing that covered the entire body, from head to toe. At face level there was a transparent visor. The face had smooth yellow skin, with a scar on each cheek. The left eye was at a higher level than the right. Thin lips, flattened nose, dark yellow eyes, no pupil and no sclerotius. Two parallel wrinkles above the eyes without eyelashes or eyelids. The chin gave the impression of "running backwards".

The two crew members took 3 steps forward and the boy took one, thus staying about 8 meters away, facing each other, when they entered into a “conversation”. They emitted low, guttural and hoarse sounds, which seemed to come out of a “trunk” that moved in the lower part of the “mask” of each one, when speaking.

When Tiago asked them, in Portuguese, how they had gotten there, one of them made rotating gestures with the palms of his hands placed together, forming a circle with both arms, which he then raised and lowered several times. At that moment, the young man took a cigarette from the pack that was in his shirt pocket and lit it, which was observed with great attention by the four beings, who looked at each other and exchanged words with each other.

Tiago took the pack, which still had 14 cigarettes, and threw it in the direction of the beings. One of them, without taking his eyes off the boy, caught him with some difficulty. When the crew member's hand was about 10 cm from the pack of cigarettes, it moved by itself and was caught by the ufonaut. After that he took the pack of cigarettes to his chest and as if by magic it disappeared. At this fact two of them laughed, showing blackened and different teeth.

After the cigarettes, the two, more confident, took a step towards Tiago, who did the same. To show good intentions, Tiago took the binoculars from around his neck and placed them on the ground. The fearful crew retreated 4 steps. Seeing this, James put the binoculars around his neck again. After that, both ufonauts approached again.

The ufonauts then tried a new communication. They started talking and gesticulating for about 15 minutes, until, hearing Francisco's shout calling for his friend, they backed away slowly, always with their backs to the disk. Both gave a little jump, rose in the air and entered the spaceship, one after the other.

The last one, with the bust still outside, pointed a blue light that hit Tiago on his right thigh, where he felt a tingling, leaving his whole body paralyzed. He still managed to see the small window close and the ship rise about 2 meters from the ground, silently, disappearing afterwards. It was then that Tiago lost consciousness. When he woke up, an hour later, he was already at Santa Casa, only with pain in his thigh.

At the object's landing site, the vegetation was crushed into a four-meter-diameter circle and, within this area, 3 holes, corresponding to the shells on which the tripod legs rested. Tiago that day ingested 3 to 4 liters of water and slept a lot. In the following days he still drank plenty of water.

Tiago passed away on May 9, 2020 in the city of Santo André, where he was buried.
