The Sure-Fire Way I Can Tell Your Title was Written using ChatGPT

“Spot the Spark: Clues That Unveil a Title Crafted by the Artistic Algorithms of ChatGPT” ChatGPT´s title for this article 🤮

Maybe I should have used the title ChatGPT wrote, except it is awful. They always go something like this:

  • Unveiling the ways
  • Crafted
  • Unmistakable
  • Or how about Unleashing
  • Unraveling

Yeah, no, thank you, ChatGPT.

If I see an article with any of the words above in the title, I know you used ChatGPT, and I probably don’t trust your information. I am very anti-AI; some people say to learn how to use it to your advantage, and I say no, maám.

I will not. I refuse.

Have I tried it?

Of course, that is how I know that I loath every inch of its being. It did not make my writing or life more fun; instead, it irritated me and took all the fun out of writing.

I happen to love writing, reading, and researching.

I am not looking for a shortcut. I have a theory: shortcuts don’t work.

I know it’s quite the theory, right?

I also don’t use filters unless it’s one to help lighting .

Yet that is not a filter; in my pictures, I am me, and videos are the same. I do minimal editing because the world around us is becoming more fake daily.

I use Grammarly because I have horrible grammar and cannot tell where a s or’s goes. Nope, sorry, I was not an English major.

I also don’t care if you know or don´t know either. However, if you don’t see the difference between their, their, and they’re, I might start twitching, but that is basic English.

Yet, if your first language is not English, I do not expect your grammar to be perfect, as mine in your language would not be either. It is barely passable some days in my language!

Anyway, people are catching on to AI content, and the consensus of readers, in my opinion, is that they do not like it.

You can use it as an outline if you choose, and the content can be your own, but does anyone do that?

If you have an easy way to make a buck, you will take the easy way; as I said, I tried it, and it made me feel like I was doing the walk of shame back in my college days, dirty.

It’s almost like I defied the craft many artists have learned to perfect over the years. I can imagine John Steinbeck writing Grapes of Wrath using Chat GPT.

Unveiling the rundown shack that will be destroyed due to this quaint little family’s unfortunate loss of money.

When I asked Chat GPT for another name for Grapes of Wrath, it recommended:

“Harvest of Resilience: Navigating the Dust Bowl Era with the Joad Family”

I then asked Chat GPT what it thought of Steinbeck, and it replied:

I’d say Steinbeck had a unique and profound way of capturing the human experience through his writing, something that I, as an AI, can’t replicate. While I can generate text and assist with various tasks, the artistry and depth of a writer like Steinbeck are truly special.

This pretty much sums up what I feel about real writers as well and is something we, as real writers, need to remember.

I mean, think about how much we humans can do, and you want to hand it over to a computer willingly. I think the older I get, the more of a curmudgeon I become, and no, Grammarly does not like that word either.

The further I want to get away from technology, the more I retreat from the world around me, unless it is to poke some people with a fire poker and say wake up.

Instead, I feel the future will look like this: turn on your neuro link, connect to your oculus, and be transported to another world, one that is not real.

It is slowly happening; we are being programmed and have been since I was born, trying to balance the two worlds and realizing the advancement of technology might just sink this ship.

So I only use WhatsApp to communicate, and I swore I saw a prompt for AI to respond to a text the other day! I mean, there is already pre-determined text for email. I say enough is enough!!

*not written by AI* instead of *written by AI* .. sigh.

I thank you for being human, real and flawed.

I would even prefer you to use the wrong there, their, and they’re than AI.

Stay Human

XOXO
