It was a bright, sunny day when Emily received the news that would change her life forever. She had been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and the doctors had given her less than a year to live. Emily was devastated, but she knew that she had to make the most of the time she had left.

She began to make a list of all the things she wanted to do before she died. She wanted to travel to all the places she had always dreamed of visiting, to try new foods and experiences, and to spend as much time as possible with her loved ones.

Emily started with the simplest things first. She went for long walks in the park, sat by the river, watched the sunset, and spent afternoons reading her favourite books. She tried new foods and discovered a love for sushi and Thai food. She even tried skydiving, and though it was scary, it was also exhilarating.

Emily's list of things to do before she died grew longer every day. She wanted to visit the Taj Mahal in India, see the Northern Lights in Norway, and take a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. But most of all, she wanted to spend time with her family and friends.

Emily organised a big family gathering, where she could say goodbye to everyone she loved. It was a bittersweet occasion, but Emily felt grateful for the chance to see everyone together one last time.

As her time grew shorter, Emily focused on the present moment. She enjoyed every day as it came, and found joy in the small things - a warm cup of tea, a phone call from a friend, the smell of fresh flowers.

In the end, Emily passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She had lived a full and meaningful life, and though she would be missed, her legacy would live on in the memories of those who knew her.
