Shepherd of Trickery

J. R. Elam, from the Roth-Millian Empire boardroom, clicks a remote ending broadcast transmission. Elam’s shoulders pivot to face the board of executives. Raising his right hand to forehead, the executives mirrored the master in unison exclaiming “Luceat lux in tenebris, et regnabit in folium ex rosa est,” shortly before exiting the room. Rising in stern like motion, Elam with an overly elongated gate walks to the widely encased window overlooking the cityscape before him. “In society’s two-thousand-year dance of the seven veils,” he remarks privately, “today a new dance is reborn of Apis, to render Babylon’s former premier apex of inequity. Do they [civilians] know of the greatness that is above and below is finally here?”

What had occurred hours before the master’s broadcast had been a scene witnessed in every city across the globe. A singular event of no apparent empirical explanation, except those who follow Lux Una Rosa.

An immaculate fusion of light came and went in a twinkle of an eye, along with one-third of the earth’s population vanishing along with it into an oblivion. A darkness engulfed the flickering consciousness of humanity in all those who stood staring, mystified, appalled, as they witnessed what was, and is, the mass disappearance of billions of people. As one would only expect, the world-wide commerce, trade and transportation, the daily goings, fell to chaotic proportions as if the leaded gravity of Mars exchanged hope for the fear that everything known to man up to that point became irretrievable.

Sheep are so easily led to pasture, or to the slaughterhouses, at the behest of even titular shepherds. However long now until the shepherd shows his face, all is known is it won’t be long. Lux Una Rosa’s plan ascended as prophesied, and perfectly so.

Sometime after the occurrence, countries banded into sectors elamizing a liberal standard of culture, religion, and yes even currency in order to relieve the confusion, strife, persecution and social unrest met after the light flushed out the Chosen.

Tolerance is the sole rule of law in the new world order where it is exclusively dictated by the Authority. No one owns any property or anything for that matter. Food was in decent supply and managed by Authority in parcels based on a social caste in addition to allegiance of the right arm. To buy or sell, allegiance means the difference between life and death. This new form of governance saved the planet from utter collapse by building a united sustainable society. A perfect society developed by Lux Una Rosa.

Lux Una Rosa, means light by a single rose. J.R. Elam, master of the Order, and its members, are made up of powerful elite families and business leaders who believe life’s ultimate purpose is found on planet earth as the bearer of gods.

Elam had the privilege to place on the chest of the high temple mistress a significant identifier of the Authority years ago, a locket engraved with the pictograph of a dragon intertwined with a single rose. The mistress wears other identifiers of the Order, sheaths of purple and red. She is known to serve at the pleasure of the Order under the Authority’s law; and who better to serve at the left hand of the Messiah, the King of Hades. For the path of the Chosen is narrow, for the path of the rose is as wide as the river Jordan.

The prophesy reads

Christ um Messiam rupitur. Luceat lux in tenebris, et regnabit in folium ex rosa est. Magum appropinquat redemptio trahat oves quidem iter.”

Translated from Latin

"Messiah Messiah the chains are broken. Let the light shine out of darkness and reign from the petal of a rose. Magician, the time is nigh so lead the sheep on the path of least redemption."

After foretelling all of what is to come, do you dare follow the titular shepherd of trickery?
