Grogu's 1st & (Last??) Clear Look at Din Djarin Without His Mask.

It should be fairly obvious and clear that the following comes with a massive Spoiler Warning for 'Chapter 16: The Rescue' and The Mandalorian Season 2:

Here's where I should state upfront. I'm not a television writer, at this time, and never have been. I'm just a big Star Wars Fan that's working through the context clues and picturing the possible fates that would fit into canon here for Grogu:

Ok so...alright...everyone who needed to leave and come back later? Are you on your way to the couch to catch up??? We're waiting...

Ok, how bad-ass was Luke Skywalker showing up having sensed Grogu's Outreach and tracked him down to Moff Gideon. All the emotions, from that's an X-Wing. "One X Wing? Great. We're saved."

Here he comes!!!

OHH My 3PO!! Luke's getting the Rogue One Vadar Hallway Treatment!!!

But dismay sets in during the battle, how bad is the face going to look??

THAT Bad. Ok, Ok, Ok...you know what. The fight and the narrative thread of connecting Luke Skywalker to The Mandalorian is worth it. But what will the mean for the ever, ever, expanding Star Wars Franchise & Grogu:

Possibilities; Plus Less Likely to Be Possible, but Still Must Be Addressed Ideas:

Grogu Slaughtered by Kylo Or Knights of Ren During Kylo's Jedi Student Purge:

The obvious, oh, that's what must have happened answer. The only way I really see this one coming around is if it's meant to solidify that this was always Din's Story and Grogu was here for his character development. Yet, how do you do that exactly, by killing him off a couple decades into the future though. And it's still, just really, really, really unsatisfying at this point.

Grogu: A Knight of Ren??

Hard to picture, the brief flashes of the Knights didn't have any height challenged or green members. Still, assume at your own risk as finding out the First Order Storm Troopers weren't Clones had us completely and very unnecessarily up in arms. Plus in the apparent life cycle we're getting accustomed to here, Grogu would be essentially pre-teen at the most even by the time Luke's Temple's Tossed. A lot of these ideas won't always jive with the character's established slow aging. Which it really needs to.

Oh and if your wondering, I'm willing and able to do proper research of actual on screen events, but I'm not digging through Tie-In Comics for this. I Love Star Wars, but I've just never really liked the storytelling format of actual comicbooks. Call me spoiled for already having animated television versions of Batman and Superman in my youth; it's probably true. Anyways, point is there are others to ask about the hidden in comic sales deep secrets of the Knights of Ren.

Grogu: Absent From The Temple, He Was; Found, Our People He Did:

This is the one I would want to write and really sink my teeth into if I were in Favreau and Filoni's Writers' Room.

Now I know, the mystery around Yoda, Yaddle, and the Whole Species has its appeal. I hear you. I don't really know if it's good writing or not, but if it was me. For this series I'd give Them an Inner Rim Colony. So we can world build a culture, given them a name, all that. But walk that back with a compromise that it's a small society and they know they're a colony. But over the centuries the trail and knowledge to get back to the Homeworld, Rumored to be in the Unknown Regions, has gone completely cold.

Grogu: Trained By Ashoka Tano, After All:

Confession Time: I'm on my 1st ever run-through of Clone Wars, haven't got to Rebels. So my knowledge is limited. But this Ashoka going after Thrawn and trying to find Ezra Bridger Plot could get wrapped up earlier than expected possibly.

Then if say Luke and Ashoka connect and he gets her into returning or helping. (Bear in mind I'm behind on my Clone Wars and don't know exactly why she's expelled from the Jedi Order in the 1st Place.) But Luke wasn't exactly feeling the Jedi Order Love in the Sequel Trilogy and Ahsoka is "Jedi Enough" to be included in the Rise of Skywalker Sequence. So She could possibly still take him on, at some point.

Grogu: Mutated Into Snoke; Because Experiments:

There was and is some high fear that Grogu's just going to end up being Snoke or Palpatine's Partial Donor Somehow given the Experiments. But considering Moff Gideon already has what he needs from Grogu at the end of the chapter, apparently anyway. Hopefully this would just be a sub-threat of following the blood and foiling the bad guys intentions.

Grogu: Jedi Knight?? Why? When? How?:

Why? Forgive me for feeling like we're WAY too attached ourselves at this point for Grogu to not end up as Yoda's Successor in Rey's Jedi Order. Plus given the aging. Possibly Teenager around the Sequel Trilogy. The When Seems most likely to be waiting patiently on the shelf for Episode X to be green lit. The How is trickier, but he's survived the Fall of the Republic. Are we really going to quandary too, too hard on this if the Payoff is Worth It, Star Wars Fans? Could tie in to being Ashoka's Off Radar Apprentice combining those two threads. Otherwise, it's mysterious. Like Yoda and the Species to begin with.

Grogu: Returned to Din Djarin He Was; Too Attached, He'd Already Become:

Could easily go for THIS, too. Even though it's a bit of a walk-it-back cop-out. But with Mando's Current Darksaber and Mandalorian Throne Muddle. Could easily come down to this. Especially if Luke somehow had to get involved. Grogu possibly 1st Actual Jedi since the Originial Mandalorian Jedi to Weild the Darksaber. Sign us up!!

Trouble is though if the Attachment is actually the Issue, though. That's a bunch of different set-backs. But could be worth it.

Closing And Sequel Trilogy Thoughts:

Welp, there's my examination on all of the angles I could think of. I didn't address the whole wipe out the Sequel Trilogy malarkey because I... like ... the Sequel Trilogy. Well, not very equally mind you. I love The Force Awakens. I liked The Last Jedi when we left the Theatre that 1st Screening, but it's numerous issues do weigh it down. However I do feel like having it berated like it has by the fanbase has skewed perception too far to the negative despite the merits of the arguments. Because said arguments caused The Rise of Skywalker to go off the rails. Which I do like The Rise of Skywalker, too.

Like, if I had to give all 3 Films Football Manager Ratings (1-20) Scale: I'd go The Force Awakens: 16. The Last Jedi: 7. The Rise of Skywalker: 11.

But anyways. Happy Life Day, Star Wars!!
