What becomes of thee. Going out to parties and having fun or staying in. The purpose of staying out late commonly is known for those who are younger. The Approaching Age. Wether it’s 14, 21, 30, 40 or even 65. The Approaching Age brings a level of change & realization to oneself and those around you

The time where being an adult or being “too young” is less likely used. Around adolescence development take place & identity takes hold. Experiment & learning is commonly apprehended for growth. Though this was the standard I wasn’t so fortunate among others who was able to have various teachers & role models from different walks of life to guide & prepare me for the many pathways of evolution. Growing up we become exposed to all sorts of phenomena to indulge us and find what works and compartmentalize the good and the bad.

Becoming a young adult seems like a tricky phase. It’s like when you know you’re going to become an adult but end up becoming a version that’s in between. Still feeling like yourself but little things start to change. You start to learn new things, some habits change & you learn things about yourself that you wasn’t aware of.

You spend your twenties exploring the world around you & start “finding yourself” from the experiences that you embark on. You go through some roadblocks that challenges you & at times forces your ideals & views on the world to evolve. Through this you get a better understanding of your path ahead or just restart entirely.

Upon your transitioning to adult life (or lack of) the relationships around you also altar. Those people are challenged in a way where they get closer or show signs of growing apart. As part of our development our interests expand where choices are made that can define who we will become.

To be devils advocate nothing can happen in the process while you “find yourself” resulting in no change. Hopes and dreams randomly enter and flow throughout the mind of the contestant. The concept of FOMO (Fear Of missing out) enters the fray.

Things start to happen to those around you and your decisions are tested. You struggle with fear and change as you fight through inner turmoils thus, the stresses of young adulthood tend to fade away and adult hurdles begin to blossom. Responsibilities become more apparent as your perspectives becomes more solid resulting in a you that wasnt expected.

Growth is inevitable. With an ever changing world one lay to watch as it goes by, but why? Does being the audience allow for such growth? Time passes & you go by the places you routinely go to you notice the same things but feel different. As if any new experience or information opened your mind up to what used to be & what needs to change. You realize that you go to the same place for reasons you didn’t even know where reasons to go.

Walking into the unknown you realized a few things, the party is not a party worth putting energy into unless it’s filled with the same energy needed to put in. From one place to the next one place becomes normal compared to the thought. You go through the normal because it’s what’s expected but realize what’s normal is not so normal for you. That the idea of entertainment is more interactive & less connected to the masses.

Coming of age isn’t just about obtaining certain items or gaining access to new boards. Responsibilities are enhanced & freedom because a lot more important. Finding your way becomes a fight to the finish. A fight within oneself to discover who we are and what we are capable of.

By going outside our comfort zones we find things we probably didn’t see before & that because part of our development. By embracing these traits & accepting the old ones we can begin to understand that we are here to prove to ourselves that what we were is where we started, not where we finish. Our change is for a better us because it’s for us and not everyone else.

The coming of age isn’t just for one age but for the many. The many milestones where we achieve a level of importance. Honor of successfully passing through the hurdles of life to find greatness. We look at our past to uncover new & old struggles that wasn’t always there and realize that the moments where they were not so great was a time to overcome & adhere to circumstances. So the coming of age isn’t so bad; we just finished another chapter of who we are.
