The Alternate Reality Show

Alternate Reality, also known as Parallel Universe, is a hypothetical self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own.

My analysis of The Ascension Papers commenced. I was in awe after reading my first spiritual manuscript in the exact divine timing that I needed it within my life; yet I was left feeling a little confused as I got to the end.

I decided to follow its guidance and started trying to figure out the "best thing" that I, specifically, could offer the world. Furthermore, I needed to figure out how to provide income for myself from that thing. I had already tried forsaking money, but that was not working for me. (Hint: This is probably never the right move and can take years to recover from.)

After some contemplation I found that I had no drive to do anything except explore. I am to be an explorer then. That is what calls to me. I will write about my explorations and visually document them in some way. “So many have done this lately, though,” I thought, “there has to be something more...”

Eventually, I took a different path as an artist, yet sometimes paths can intersect and reconverge. This is the story of my Alternate Reality Show.

My Alternate Reality Show

In this reality, the basis of my life purpose is knowledge and exploration. Every week on my Alternate Reality Show I explore the love rituals and religious ceremonies of cultures native to Earth. My documentation takes me worldwide. Fans of the project write me letters saying that my actions inspire them to explore their inner selves and the world around them. They have seen the universal unity of our human species by viewing the emotion of love and how it connects us all. By studying the highest emotion and its form throughout all cultures, we are breaking racial barriers.

Our first episode had the production crew traversing deep into the primordial jungles of Papua New Guinea. An artful and intimate display detailing the contours of the indigenous tribesmen is filmed as they ritualistically paint their bodies in root chakra red and solar plexus yellow; pigments created from the Earth in a mixture of ochre clay. Our cinematography is inspired by Immortal Production’s entrancing The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

The lens gracefully glides over light-reflecting arrays of precisely arranged nanocrystals located on the Bird of Paradise feathers, which are known to produce their shimmering colors. The avifauna, which can only be found in this region of the world, are known by the tribespeople to possess magic and supernatural powers. In this way, the tribesmen can be seen to be performing an ancient and indigenous form of Divine Couture as they adorn themselves with the sacred plumage in order to impress potential lovers. The screenplay begins to flash in juxtaposition between the birds participating in their mating rituals and the spiritual mimesis of the tribesmen as they both perform a kaleidoscopic show of affection to entrance future inamoratas using both color and cacophony. As the episode is ending, the evolutional courtship of the songbirds activates a level of cosmic love previously submerged in distant lands of the subconscious mind.

In the second episode we are taken to the mysterious and beautiful mountains of the High Atlas located within Morocco. It is here that the Imilchil Wedding Festival is held. This ancient festival was created in the image of a myth involving two star-crossed lovers forbidden to see one another. This mythological fable is told in pastel watercolor animations reminiscent of the super-sensuous Colors of the Wind montage from Pocahontas. In a twist of fate, much like that of Romeo and Juliette, the two lovers drown in their own tears and perish. The myth flows in sumptuous transitions as beautiful as Pocahontas rolling in patches of sunflowers to suddenly being submerged underwater, just as our lovers become submerged with tears. This tragedy forced the differing nomadic tribes of over 700 languages to establish an annual festival of ardor which stimulates flirting, whimsy, playfulness, and the finding of the celebrant’s divine counterpart for marriage.

Our third episode takes us to a sacred pilgrimage coda of over 22 centuries. The divine blueprint of the Golden Temple of Dambulla has been activated since the first century BCE. This powerful sanctuary quincunx cave complex is drawing seekers of the divine to it at this very moment.

The Asgiriya Chapter of Buddhist monks and the Sri Lankan Department of Archeology have invited us to cinematically capture the essence and the architectural art of their most well-preserved empyrean megalith filled with carved shrines and immense statues showcasing religious deities, figures, and sovereigns. The temple consists of five caves linked together under a vast overhanging rock. Intricate universal patterns and painted religious images follow the contours of every cave.

The Origin Story

Valagamba of Anuradhapura sought refuge here in these caves for 15 years after evading Tissa, a young Bramin who had declared war against him and an invading Tamil army with 7 leaders from the South. Valagamba was a skilled diplomat and he realized that his forces were too weak to fight against both enemies simultaneously. He tried to rid himself of them both by making them fight each other. The Tamil invaders annihalted Tissa, but then they continued to advance on Valagamba.

Valagamba fled on a chariot with his wife Somadevi. As they noticed the pursuers getting too close, Queen Somadevi got down from the chariot to make it lighter and give the king a chance to escape. It was then that she was captured.

After 15 years of exile (which Valagamba spent inside the caves, surviving famine, and contemplating while he sharpened his offense) he was able to defeat Dathika, the last of the remaining Tamil leaders and regain his throne. He immediately sent for Somadevi.

During the 12 years in which he was once again ruler, Valagamba had multiple monasteries fabricated, including the Golden Temple of the Dambulla Caves, Somarama Temple in honor of his wife Somadeva in the place that she sacrificed herself for his escape, and Abhayagiri Vihara, a royal vihara with magnificent monasteries rising many stories and encircled by great walls containing elaborate bathing ponds, carved balustrades, and brilliant moonstones.

Conclusion

In the development of my Alternate Reality Show, we have created an amazing source of income for the populations that invite us to their love ceremonies and sacred spaces. Half of the income produced from each episode on YouTube is given to the participating community. The Sri Lankan Department of Archaeology is putting this money towards the Dambulla Caves by enhancing the conservation of its paintings, establishing the most beautiful presentation of the caves with a master development plan, and preparing a heritage management framework.

Our filming is an innovative way for many groups to earn passive income every time their episode is watched. The income produced from each episode on YouTube is automatically divided in half between the ceremony holders and our production team, while our pay what you choose Memberful subscriptions are a brilliant way for our biggest fans and participating institutions to support us while hearing behind the scenes interviews of lovers, artists, and religious figures.

The beauty of our project is that it is limitless. As technology expands so does our art. Our community has drawn together the perfect players to tell romantic mythologies through a myriad of otherworldly experiences. Members to our Top Tier Memberful program will have the ability to see behind the scenes as the art and tech experiments heat up.

Our eclectic team is passionately interested in creating stories like that of Valagamba and Somadeva, the Greek mythology of Ceyx and Alcyone, the story of Chih-nii, the divine Chinese feminine who could make gowns out of brocade and clouds, and her lover; and the Persian legend of Zal and Rudabeh. We tell the ultimate cosmic and romantic legends in artworks ranging from VR short films to choreographed dances and plays.

As the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse aligns our planet with its parallel universe, this high priestess will pray that Memberful chooses to pronounce an incantation and provide the power needed to actualize The Alternate Reality Show.
