Zillo Beast

Dave Filoni's favorite episode of The Clone Wars centers around a huge creature native to the Dug homeworld Malastare. This being is woken by the conflict between the Grand Army of the Republic and the droid armies of the CIS. It is taken back to Coruscant in order to try to duplicate it's blaster and lightsaber resistant armor. Before the Republic can begin it's experimentation however, the Zillo Beast breaks loose, and much like the episode's inspirations King Kong and Godzilla, rampages through Galactic City. It is eventually killed by a nerve toxin deployed by the Republic troopers. However, with the sinister final shot of Palpatine (aka Darth Sidious) giving orders to a Republic scientist to clone the beast, audiences expected to see the results of this mad science experiment come to fruition at some point in the Clone Wars. This was not to be the case as the show proceeded with no more mention of the lethal creature. With The Bad Batch picking up where Clone Wars left off, and the elite commando squad infiltrating multiple Imperial science facilities, there is a possibility this 2 episode arc could come back around in the newest entry into the animated Filoni-verse.

The Founding Of A New Jedi Order

The path of the Jedi Order has been a complicated and often dangerous journey, with numerous Knights giving their lives to protect the the galaxy and the will of the Force. The most obvious example of this is, of course, is the Clone Wars and the ensuing Order 66. The Jedi once numbered 100,00 strong but by the time Luke Skywalker begins his training under Obi-Wan Kenobi in 0 B.B.Y. there was scarcely a dozen left. Luke tried to rebuild the Jedi to their previous strength but was betrayed by his nephew, Ben Solo, who murdered Luke's students and once again reduced the Jedi Order to a whisper. Until Rey, the scavenger from Jakku, was trained by Master Skywalker and became the last, and all of, the Jedi. After the death of the resurrected Palpatine and the redemption of Kylo Ren, Rey was one of the few Force-wielders left in the galaxy. As Star Wars begins exploring stories past the events of the Sequel trilogy, it will be imperative for a centerpiece of that story to be Rey's rebuilt Order. For as Lor San Tekka says in Force Awakens; "without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force."

Baby Yoda's Fate

There are few characters more popular in the new cannon of Star Wars than Din Djarin and the wee Yoda-ling, Grogu. These characters managed to steal the hearts of fans in just 16 Chapters of exceptional Star Wars stories. The father-son like bond shared between the Mandalorian and his foundling is at it's core very Lucas in it's storytelling. However a wrench was thrown in this otherwise heartwarming relationship as Luke Skywalker arrived in the Season 2 finale to not only save Din Djarin and his friends from Moff Gideon's relentless Dark Troopers but also to take Grogu away from his pseudo-papa and begin his Jedi training. We know that Luke's Jedi Order and his students meet a grim end at the saber of Kylo Ren. Will this be the fate of the green youngling? Or will he reunite with Din Djarin prior to the rampage of Ren?

Darth Bane And The Rule Of Two

A key component in the millennia-long war between the Jedi and Sith is the Rule of Two. Seeing the corruption and back-stabbing rampant within the Sith Order on Korriban, Bane sought to purify the Dark Side through fire, tricking the Dark Lord Kaan into obliterating his followers with a Thought Bomb, a concentration of Dark Side energy that was meant to destroy the Jedi Order. With Bane the sole Sith survivor, he went about re-forging the Sith in his own image. This was all canonized by the appearance of the samurai-like specter of Bane to Yoda in an episode of Clone Wars as the Jedi Master sought knowledge. However, as stated by Ki-Adi-Mundi in Phantom Menace, the Jedi believe that the Sith have been extinct for a millennia. Connecting the dots of the Dark Side from Darth Bane to Darth Plagueis the Wise and his apprentice, Darth Sidious, would be an excellent way to add context and history to the primary antagonists of the Star Wars universe. Many speculate that The Acolyte will bridge these gaps and tell a darker, grittier Star Wars story that many fans have been clamoring for for years.

Crosshair's Ride Off Kamino

The Season 1 finale of The Bad Batch saw Crosshair and Clone Force 99 once again at odds, but dependent on one another for survival as they struggle to escape a rapidly sinking Tipoca City. While Hunter, Wrecker, and Omega all attempt to extend an olive branch to their comrade-turned-foe, Crosshair chooses to ally himself with the Empire, albeit with an expression of doubt and some hope left the he will once again be a Bad Batcher. The episode seems to leave Crosshair marooned on Nala Se's private landing platform. Given that Admiral Rampart's last on-screen order was to commence an orbital bombardment on Tipoca City and "let the clones die together" it seems highly unlikely that the Empire will welcome Crosshair back into their ranks. Especially after a member of the elite squadron former under Crosshair's command saw their former CO fighting alongside Clone Force 99, surrounded by the dead bodies of the rest of the Imperial squad. Counting the Bad Batch, and the Imperial's out of Crosshairs options for hitching a ride, he might turn to the same place that many other outcasts and wanderers, including Asajj Ventress, have turned; the underworld. Crosshair would make an exceptional bounty hunter, and with other scum and villainy appearing in the show, such as Cad Bane, Fennec Shan, Cid, and members of the Durand crime family, the clone could make an easy transition into this cast of characters. Perhaps going so far as to hunt his former brothers.
