Does the following statement bother you? If it does, then our culture stands on the canyon's edge loudly crying for something different because our society needs better vistas and one sure way to do that is to hope a moralistic billionaire hears us when money matters for mass media communication.

This statement was made following the Grammy awards last year...signifying the "Outstanding Achievement in the US music industry"depicted by a gilded gramophone trophy.

This world is nuts. We cancel cartoons and old movies as they are sexually offensive and then CBS airs Cardi B and Megan rolling around doing WAP on a giant purple bed also twerking around a giant stiletto with a shower of money raining down on the Grammy last night. Yahoo News said it won the night.” Vicki Jane from Facebook

Are you OK with a society that celebrates such explicit female sexuality amid larger-than-life stripper heels on center stage as “undeniably one of the night’s most unforgettable moments?”

Some people agree we must do better.

“Artists have every right to confound empowerment with debasement, and sexiness with debauchery, but a broadcast television network carries a higher standard especially during the times when children are likely to be in the audience. Shame on CBS.” Tim Winter, Parents Television Council President.

Are you OK with any business like Marvel spending $400,000,000 to make Avengers movies because there is a business model in place that made it a reasonable investment choice? The result is an all-star team enlisting superheroes, some with personality defects, to face a threat from a dramatized villain ending in a last hour combat with special effects filled with large mechanical objects, deafening crashes and great balls of fire. Can’t we have better enlightening movies?

Are you OK with the fact that “of the 100 largest economies in the world, 51 are corporations; only 49 are countries (based on a comparison of corporate sales and country GDPs … Globalissues.org ) meaning they wield more power and are more favored by the governments over the individual?

Are you OK with the fact that multinational corporations have worked to shape our culture based on consumption like Coca Cola, fast foods, fashions and celebrities in order to reap lifestyle profits and fulfill status-quo materialism dreams?

Are you OK that as individual citizens we have limited processes or systems to influence or change the world? Even social media spawns disinformation. We can rightfully protest by marching with slogans but nothing really happens, because we lack systems or organisation of our assets.

Do you believe Albert Einstein?

The fate of humanity is dependent entirely upon the moral development.

What is Morality … the differentiation of intentions, decisions and actions between those that are distinguished as proper and those that are improper.

So, on one hand, we don’t deny that business or entertainment models are built on customer demands. But can we draw something better than extravagant displays of fireballs or sexualized fantasy to soak into viewers’ brains, young and old, for what possible outcome except to require more and more extravagance and violence?

On the other hand, we have to ask the question about how society can initiate changes in order for businesses to shift in different directions to evolve and develop far more intrinsic equitable value systems.

Mass media is a global force that can disseminate and fixate homogenous worldwide ideals and culture if it wants to.

Morals, values and ideas can be shown to move beyond individual needs and social status. Our physical reality can move beyond a materialistic consumer-centric lifestyle with more focus on community integration and nature’s ecology.

There is an opportunity for powerful messages from influential celebrities or heroes from Hollywood and the music industry to tell stories about traditional moral values, social integration, cultural frameworks, historical lessons and ecological balance at four levels.

Time to make emotional connections through video and film to help sustain our humanity on Earth.

Search for a Billionaire

The wish is for someone who has enough capital to produce presentations with moral guidelines for ethical conduct, wise decision making, judgement calls and personal success that address questions about morality’s value and principles.

I am a little old lady with no power to influence the powerbrokers and no money but many years have been spent true to teaching and learning principles as well as later researching the trends of the modern Internet Age.

Two areas of concern have surfaced with the most worries about changing cultural norms which I believe could be the basis of movies, internet videos or even a helpful television series to better educate and survive such fundamental societal changes.

ONE: SOCIAL MEDIA CHANGES for TEENAGE GIRLS

Who doesn’t have a daughter, sister or know a young teenage girl who seems attached to her cell phone, but who is really on the leash? Who is leading whom?

There is no doubt that adolescence is a time of identity formation, social comparison, and mental development, but what happens when a dominant, changing culture imposes adult norms with no rules or limitations?

How can we stop social media from taking advantage of a rash and brash teenage brain still in development to avoid making wrong choices? How can young teenage girls respect their own personal offline time as more important than their online screen time to break the serious habit of Selfie conditioning and too much wasted time on social media?

TWO: ECOLOGICAL STORIES as Eco-Fiction

Who can doubt that we face many problems and ecological challenges from global warming, pollution, food production, species extinction and more on a planet with finite resources? Yet, as ecology works, all the systems are interconnected from the smallest microorganism to the largest manmade plastic manufacturing plant.

Eco fiction is a special genre that makes a special bonding to Nature’s characters who tell their own narratives of belonging to and surviving in their environment. What better way to have a special relationship with natural characters; thereby, making an emotional connection through their trials, tribulations and inclusions of all lives in a balanced natural environment. As they share their loves for their families and communities, so will the readers feel kinship and motivational affinity to protect Nature at its best. What wonderful friends to get to know!

BOTTOM LINE:

I know I am threading the eye of a needle with universal energy, but if you do not try nothing will materialize.
