Rosario Dawson Seemingly Confirms Cad Bane's Fate After 'The Book Of Boba Fett' Finale

So Is He Alive Or Dead?

The finale of The Book of Boba Fett brought an end to a fan-favorite character. Cad Bane was taken away from us just as soon as he appeared in the show. The finale brought an end to a battle of forces that started in The Clone Wars for us, but it goes back decades for these characters. It seems like Cad Bane’s story is finally at an end. Or is it? Despite his apparent death, fans are clinging to the hope that he survived his duel with Boba. Rosario Dawson has now chimed in on her thoughts of the finale, and she has seemingly confirmed the fate of Cad Bane.

When Cad Bane first appeared in The Book of Boba Fett, Rosario took to Twitter to voice her shock and awe at his inclusion. She praised his design in live-action. She also voiced her hope that they would be able to “work together,” saying in her tweet:

Naturally, this gave several fans hope that Cad Bane may make an appearance in the new Ahsoka series. However, those hopes were quickly crushed with The Book of Boba Fett’s finale. Not only did the season finale put an end to Cad Bane, but Rosario also appears to have confirmed his fate when she retweeted her original tweet:

Given how excited she was at Cad Bane’s inclusion, it seems like this reaction is genuine. Her recent reaction also seems to confirm that Cad Bane is, in fact, dead. While fans have been in heated debates over the death and whether the blinking light on his body signifies him being alive or dead, Rosario is heavily implying Cad Bane will not be returning. At least, he will not be returning in the Ahsoka show as Rosario’s tweet does seem to heavily imply his death.

This is not necessarily the end for Cad Bane. As we have all seen, staying dead is really hard to do in Star Wars. Any character that needs to make a return from beyond the grave should have no problem doing so. Even non-Force users can make a return. At the end of the episode, we see Cobb Vanth in Boba’s bacta tank which implies that he will be making a return soon. Even with Cad Bane’s death, he could still make another appearance somewhere down the line.

Cad Bane is interesting because, much like Ahsoka, he was first introduced in The Clone Wars. Both of these characters are kind of like Dave Filoni’s babies. That makes it especially odd and sad that he allowed one of those characters to be killed off. Of course, this makes sense from a story perspective. Boba and Cad have always been enemies and rivals. Their final battle was always going to come with an air of somber. On the other hand, there is always the chance that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have plans to bring the bounty hunter Cad Bane now alive.

The Book of Boba Fett as a whole was fantastic. The final episode has divided a lot of fans for several reasons other than the fact that Cad Bane dies. All in all, however, the series was fun, and it was a great way to further explore the character of Boba Fett. This also allowed them to bring back Cad Bane and finally settle their disagreements. Unfortunately, we now know the outcome of that battle. Even though we saw his body, it does not mean that he is dead or gone forever. Cad Bane may return sometime in the future, but unfortunately, it won’t be in the Ahsoka series.
