Magic We Can Experience

And How to Make it a Reality

Have you ever been to a theme park and half-ran to get to the next attraction? You see events happening, smell the unique food, hear the excitement all around, all while enjoying cotton candy. You ride the rides, buy some overpriced trinket at the gift store, get on another ride, buy Dippin’ Dots, wait in line and watch the craziness all around. Cell phones don’t exist except for taking pictures or recording videos. Sure, it was a lot of work to get there but before you know it, it’s 9:00pm and you haven’t peed all day!

Or have you watched a show or movie that put you in a world setting that completely captivates you? You want to be in the world, experiencing what the characters do and doing whatever is common there!

Or been to a concert where every song speaks deeply to your soul. You belt out your favorite lyrics, listening and watching as others do the same. Colored lights make the environment a dream and you applaud and scream, encouraging the encores to never end!

Or have you experienced an overwhelming reaction to nature where every breath is rich and brings the most pleasant memories to mind or stimulates the most potent dreams?

Or take Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and translate that into whatever pleasure you want most. Imagine bounding from example to example of the thing that makes you so unbelievably happy! This is magic! This is the peak of human pleasure and the reason we muck through everyday life. Even if we only experience the magic for a few hours, it makes the last many months of pain worth it!

The next day, you have to go back to work, still humming or visualizing something memorable from yesterday. The everyday tasks seem easier because you are so full of energy and the jobs don’t seem so daunting anymore. What if something doesn’t get done? It doesn’t make that much difference! Aside from paying bills, what if you didn’t have this job anymore? It wouldn’t be too bad! Maybe you could go back and experience more of that magic from yesterday! Before you know it, the magic fades into fiction as much as the shows you watch at night. You start working for the money to afford more magical experiences and the cycle starts over again.

What if you didn’t have to wait months or years for another chance at that magic? Sure, there is something to be said for making the most of every moment where the trip to the copier becomes a trip to the moon, encountering a new species. But I’m asking what if the income you made from your job went directly to fund your magical adventures (if those cost anything at all)? One of the major points for writing on this platform is that money should be considered obsolete. I think we are technologically advanced enough to continue industrial progress while pursuing tasks that require a higher level of thinking. Simply speaking, professors and kings shouldn’t have to scoop poop to keep a roof over their heads.

I think everyone should be considered a professor and king in their own field. Some are strict professors and kings of one area like science while others are masters of many fields in one particular aspect. If you desire a fancy drink, it should be given to you! If you ask for a million pounds of a rare metal, it should be provided. If you want an audience with a Russian ruler, it should be arranged. I believe all these things because I think mankind is capable of so much more and should be rewarded in kind. In Star Trek Next Generation (sorry, I know I reference that show a lot), even enemies of the Federation are granted pleasantries when on board the Enterprise. There is no doubt that they are entitled to necessities, even if they are scummy beings! What makes us any different, besides being real? Necessities should be given, not earned!

Right now, as I write this, I’ve spent the day working and now, as I prepare for sleep, I allow my thoughts and fantasies to drift to what could be! It is the most beautiful place I can imagine and I desire to bring this hour of my life into every hour of my existence on Earth. Please read my other posts to continue to learn about my dream for the world. Thank you for reading this one!
