Ever since I was little, 13 has been my favorite number. Whenever I had to choose a number for something, I would always choose 13. It was my personal go to number. For some reason I would always gravitate to the number 13 even before I learned about it being known as an unlucky number. I never understood why people see the number 13 and even Friday the 13th as something to fear. It wasn’t until after college that I looked more into numerology. A lot of the meaning behind numbers and simple vortex math really interested me. It actually made me regret not taking more math classes. Even though I did enjoy math as a kid, I never saw a need for me to learn further than high school calculus. Through basic numerology, I learned that 13 really isn’t a number to fear and avoid. Thirteen is actually a good number.

What is Numerology?

Numerology is the study of numbers in life. It is similar to astrology that it gives insight to the world, but instead of looking at the stars, numerologists look at the numbers in order to find meaning. In numerology it is believed that numbers are the world’s most basic element. As Pythagoras once said,

“God built the universe on numbers”

In numerology, numerologists will study the numerical value of names, ideas, and letters in words in order to find a greater meaning. There is evidence that some form of numerology has been used for thousands and thousands of years throughout the ancient world. We do not know who first started numerology, but It is Pythagoras who is credited for how numerology is used today. His contributions to number theory have greatly influenced modern numerology.

Metatron’s Cube and the Number 13

Metatron's Cube

One of the most sacred geometric symbols is the metatron’s cube; it is also known as the fruit of life. Named after the Archangel Metatron, the metatron’s cube symbolizes the birth of the universe that is infinitely expanding it’s creations. The shape of a metatron's cube contains 13 circles and all 5 platonic solids. It is also seen as the map of creation and 13 is the number that signifies the metatron’s cube.

The Number 13 in Numerology

Thirteen is a number that signifies producing tangible results and a secure foundation. People with energy that is heavily influenced by the number 13 express creativity, focus, pragmatism, independence, and building a secure foundation. This could be why number 13 is seen as a powerful energy as it emits self-determination, creative inspiration, and decisiveness. All of these positive attributes that the number 13 possesses are recognized by many big corporations and even by the US government. For example in numerology the company name CNN is 13. Also at Washington DC you can find metatron’s cube located on the map. The capital is located at the hexagon of the metatron's cube.

Who Else is Using Lucky Number 13?

A lot of big corporations like Netflix(6) and Starbucks(6) embed distinct numbers in their names. They normally use numbers like 6 and 9. Which are also powerful numbers in numerology, but in some cases the number 13 does pop up. This includes companies like Coca-Cola (13-13), CNN (13), and CIA (13). In order to find the number of a name, you use a chart similar to the one below and count up all the numbers of each letter. It is very likely that the use of 13 in these corporations are just a coincidence, but what can’t be ignored is the use of 13 on the dollar bill.

Aside from the US government’s decision to use the metatron’s cube in Washington DC. They also made the decision to embed the number 13 on the back of the one dollar bill.

The Number 13 on the One Dollar Bill:

Back of the US one dollar bill

  • 13 Letters in ANNUIT COEPTIS
  • 13 Letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM
  • 13 Steps on the Pyramid
  • 13 Vertical bars on the shield
  • 13 Horizontal stripes on top of the shield
  • 13 Stars above the eagle
  • 13 Leaves on the branch
  • 13 Berries on the branch
  • 13 Arrows

Whoever designed the dollar bill must really love the number 13. I really doubt all those 13s are a coincidence. At some point you have to ask yourself why is 13 used so often.

Numerology like astrology is widely seen as another kind of superstition. You know, the superstition that says that 13 is an unlucky number. Yet, there are so many signs that say that that is not the case. Signs that point to 13 being a good number and a powerful one at that. The number 13 is even embedded in society. So why is 13 seen as an unlucky number to the average person? It’s pretty obvious that the US government likes to use the number 13. Why else would it be right at the capitol and all over the money. In the end it's up to the individual to decide whether 13 is a lucky or unlucky number. I’m just glad that my all time favorite number is not as bad as many believe it to be.
