When The Mandalorian premiered with the launch of Disney+, many Star Wars fans were excited to see the very first live-action Star Wars TV series. Disney+’s The Mandalorian became a worldwide appraised series, and to the Star Wars fan community, the series represented hope for the Star Wars franchise, after some were disappointed by the sequel trilogy. Although The Mandalorian Season 1 was a huge success, Season 2 arguably had even more of a worldwide impact.

Season 2 gave us many shocking reveals like The Child's name being Grogu, a live-action Ahsoka Tano, a cameo by Luke Skywalker himself in the season finale, and the return of Boba Fett. The season finale also gave us a post-credit scene that introduced us to the new upcoming live-action series, The Book of Boba Fett. The new series was produced prior to The Mandalorian Season 3, which still remains a huge mystery. However, actor Giancarlo Esposito recently revealed some information about the awaited third season of the hit series.

The actor told WRAL that Moff Gideon still has a lot to show, and since Lucasfilm has finished shooting The Book of Boba Fett, he is extremely excited to begin shooting the third season of The Mandalorian. The actor even joked about how this time he will kill Grogu. He also told the fans that they should not worry about Pedro, since he will be back for Season 3. Pedro Pascal is currently in Canada shooting HBO’s The Last of Us series, but Esposito has confirmed that he will be returning to play Mando in the upcoming season of The Mandalorian.

There is nothing as of now that is known about the next season, but fans have speculated that the third season will feature Din going in a one-on-one fight with Bo-Katan Kryze, as she now needs to defeat him in order to claim the Darksaber, and claim her rightful spot, as the ruler of Mandalore. Another piece of speculation made by the fans was that in the third season, we will see a lot more of Luke Skywalker, as he will be training Grogu in the way of the Jedi.

In the new live-action series The Book of Boba Fett, we wmight see a cameo of Din or some of the other characters already shown in The Mandalorian. Lots of Star Wars fans also believe that a sneak peak of Season 3 might play as a post-credit scene in The Book of Boba Fett season finale, as the show itself will take place within the timeline of The Mandalorian. It would be awesome to see a small teaser of what is to come in season 3.

Some say that Moff Gideon himself might appear in The Book of Boba Fett, and that Giancarlo Esposito has deceived us all, and that he actually shot some scenes for this new upcoming live-action series, coming to Disney+ this December. The Mandalorian Season 3 will not be released until sometime in 2022, but we can all speculate that the series will feature more awesome new adventures, and probably more awesome cameos by some of our beloved characters from the Skywalker saga who might be still be alive after the event of Return of the Jedi.

The Mandalorian was what got the ball rolling on live-action Star Wars shows, presenting a timeframe for exploration between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy. Although we won’t get a third season this year, we are all sure that it will be worth the wait.
