What is Exoplanetary?
EXOPLANETARY is a science-fiction podrama that follows four siblings, the Wolverton family, as they work for a giant corporation named Exoplanetary (“EXO” for short) in the 26th Century. Their bosses want to expand beyond our solar system, but the Wolvertons just want to enjoy their lives. Where do the morals and happiness of ordinary people fit in a universe full of rich and powerful interests?
In the 26th Century, human society has abandoned the Earth and colonized the planets and moons of our solar system. There is no government, but there are a handful of supercorporations, who employ the people and exchange resources. While humanity is somewhat comfortable in their new homes, they are trapped inside of domed cities and tiny enclosures filled with heavily recycled air. It seems that the next paradigm shift is coming, and EXO plans to be the new era’s master.
About the Characters
Alice Wolverton (played by Firiel Elliott) is the eldest of the four Wolverton siblings. Feisty and intelligent, she has a hard time fitting in to the world of the 26th Century. She’s had many jobs in her life, none of them for very long, and none of them very satisfying.
Edgar (Mick LaFlamme) is the CEO of the Exoplanetary Corporation, going back to when they were still primarily selling soda. He is able to fake warmth.
Grant (Shawn Brateng) is the Chairman of the Board for EXO. He enjoys a drink. And power. Edgar and Grant are brothers, but they don’t let that get in the way of business.
Dave (Danger Marshall) seems to be an ordinary custodian, fixing coffee machines, but he makes some rather outrageous claims. Just know this: he’s not lying.
Father Stone (Conor Hearne) is a man of the cloth. In the 26th Century, the clergy deals with certain functions within society that help the supercorporations run smoothly. They look after the internal lives of the people going slowly mad in their eternally enclosed environments.
What is a "podrama"
Podrama (n): Audio theater distributed as a podcast; portmanteau of "podcast" and "drama." There are a few narrative podcasts out there, but none of them are quite like EXOPLANETARY.

Creating an audio drama of this sort and providing it for free on iTunes and other platforms is not as expensive as a movie or TV series, but there are still costs involved. Whether we record it in a studio or we rent or purchase equipment of our own, it all costs money. Beyond technical costs, we want to be able to pay our collaborators for their efforts. And beyond EXOPLANETARY, we’d like to take what we are learning creating this production and use it to create other audio dramas. Comedies, thrillers, mysteries, and any other kind of story we can imagine.
Even the most successful podcasts aren’t able to thrive on advertising alone, and what EXOPLANETARY will provide you with is original scripted, full cast content, which is relatively unusual for podcasting.
Creating something new and exciting for you is what EXOPLANETARY is all about. For that reason any sort of donation is welcome and incredibly helpful. We’re truly grateful for whatever you can provide and look forward to updating you on our progress as we begin this exploration.
