They are about control

Demons do not exist. I will stand by those words forever if necessary. Demons do not exist.

If that triggers you, I am sorry, but you have been duped by society and your own subconscious triggering an unsubstantiated fear. They simply do NOT exist. They are a manufactured construct designed to control the behavior of the masses by the patriarchal organized religions of the world. They are designed to control you by inciting fear in you. That is all.

Think about it, the Divine is all powerful. No matter what your belief system is, the Creator is all powerful and benevolent. Why would he/shemake demons? Why would he/she allow demons to exist? The Divine is all powerful and would simply smote them and they would be gone. Kind of like cockroaches and rodents in your home, in your personal domain. You wouldn't put up bugs and roaches, you'd hire an exterminator or handle their removal yourself. The Divine is the same way because we are created in his image.

Demons are not "angels" gone bad. Yes, I know the Bible says otherwise, but although I believe strongly in the Bible, I also know the knowledge in it was recorded by men and filtered through mankind's intellect. Demons are are made up anomalies meant to control people and their behaviors through fear. And this false belief has become so embedded in the human psyche, that in many people's mind, it is self-fulfilling. Don't get me angels do not all or go bad, but they do get enraged. Remember an angel's first allegiance is to the Creator and then to you. They were designed to be warriors and they will act like warriors to ensure the Divine's will is done. But they are not demons. At the end of the day, they just want to help you and love you. And they will do this by following the will of the Divine.

The term demon is generally associated with Christianity. But almost every culture and religion has its own variation of a demon. Which is usually a supernatural and usually evil being. Each belief system has its own ideas about what a demon is and how they came into being. In Christianity, they’re considered to be fallen angels, but as stated above, that's just not only untrue, it is not possible. In other belief systems, they might just be creatures who have always been evil.

Were Demons Always Bad? The origin of the word demon isn’t believed to have the negative associations that we give it today. The ancient Greek word daimon referred to a spirit or divine power that gave people inspiration and new ideas. If you had the idea for an invention or a new piece of music that seemingly came out of nowhere, you were said to have been possessed by a daimon.

Some Gods of other religions were also originally seen as benevolent, but were “demonized” by Jews and Christians in the area when they were conquered. For example, Baal is believed to be one of the kings of Hell according to some Christian writings. However, Baal was originally a Canaanite deity that people saw as a helpful God, mostly associated with fertility and storms. I'm a Christian and a Catholic, but I am also cognizant enough about human behavior to know that Christianity has used demonization for thousands of years to control people and push the agenda of prostelyzation.

When Israelites conquered areas in the time of the Bible, they literally “demonized” the local gods, and made them into demons in their canon. This was believed to be used as a form of propaganda people to get the local people to convert to Judaism or Christianity.

In more recent New Age beliefs, demons are seen as something more internal and personal. If you have trouble quitting smoking, losing weight, or other things holding you back, it’s believed these “demons” are nothing more than part of your ego or subconscious in some cases.

So, from a purely scientific and academic perspective, most experts would say that demons aren’t real. Of course, it’s a matter of personal faith, and you may have your own experiences or beliefs that say otherwise.

What Powers Are Demons Claimed ot Have?

Demons are said to have just about any power you can think of.

  1. Causing disease and pestilence
  2. Spread lies about God, and cause doubt in the minds of believers
  3. Possess animals and unbelievers (in most cases, demons aren’t said to be able to possess devout Christians)
  4. Causing physical infirmities like muteness or blindness
  5. Appear and disappear at will
  6. Appear in people’s dreams
  7. Drive people to suicide

That said, again, there are angry angels and an angry angel can seem demonic. Angels are not all about unconditional love. Get that woo woo, unicorn and cupcakes new age thinking out of your head. It is akin to the relatively new idea that you can "manifest" whatever kind of life you want. You can't manifest anything if it is not what the Divine wants.

Angels are the Divine’s army and were created to do the Divine’s dirty work. So, yes, if you run across an angel that has grown tired of trying to reach you and needs you to Wake up, they might present themselves to be very demonic. Cherubims have four faces and run on hooves — horse legs. Seraphim are not much more attractive. They can be pretty scary and demonic looking. And remember, there is a good reason that the term “avenging angel” is in our lexicon.

But there are no Demons per se, there are no fallen angels, there are only angels in disguise. And with our inferior mortal intellect, we can easily project Angels as being evil. I like to use this example. Have you ever (or you may have done this yourself) witnessed a child who comes home from school after have been disciplined at school for not doing their assignments and they are enraged because the teacher is “evil” or “out to get them” or “unfair?” Same thing with angels, you refuse to do your assignments and learn your lessons, you will receive consequences and rather than looking at yourself, you lash out at the teacher and refuse to accept responsibility because your ego insists on making you believe they were “mean” to you. If you encounter what seems like a a demon, ask yourself what “you” are missing. And what part you are playing in the interaction, you will quickly find the threat replaced by love and understanding if you truly want to learn and progress.

There are no such thing as demons, just relax, be your best self, be kind, be compassionate and remember that we are put here to love others as ourselves. There are no demons except the ones you let live in your head.
