This is the fourth part of my tradition Harmony. In this chapter we will go over our mission statement, membership, bylaws, etc.. It's important to read this article if you are planning on joining within the next few years.

One thing about my tradition is that it involves a lot of structure. A lot of covens have loose structure while others have a more tight structure. Harmony is a more tight structure. We have guidelines and bylaws to follow in order to be a member of Harmony.

Our mission statement- Our mission at Harmony tradition is to spread the word about the true nature of wicca and what makes a wiccan a true wiccan. Our mission is also to help grow friendships among people of all religions for the purpose of creating peace here on mother earth. We also serve society and our Goddess and God by helping our environment, feeding the hungry, giving clothing donations, creating pet shelters, creating shelters for men and women and protesting for better laws on child, parental, and animal abuse. Our mission is to make the world a better place for all people of all backgrounds.

Who is allowed in the group- All wiccans who are interested in learning or joining in the tradition are allowed in the group. If you are a minor your parents or guardians are welcome. We want all of our members to be safe and secure so all must agree that black magic and manipulative magic serve no purpose within and outside of the circle. This agreement must be verbally made in order for you to remain in the group.

Meeting schedule- Our members will meet for three Esbats each month and all 8 Sabbats during the year. In order to become initiated, members should plan on meeting two Esbats and four Sabbats out of the year. All members will be given a schedule on the Esbats and Sabbats.

Laws and Principles- Harmony has a zero tolerance policy of illegal drugs and heavy use of alcohol. Coming to the coven intoxicated will result in you being asked to leave and to reconsider your commitment to Harmony.

Fighting, hate speech, and other threating behaviors will result in your membership being terminated. Unless you are acting in self defense violence is not acceptable.

Black magic and magic that is exploitive, manipulative, or satanic natured is not tolerated in Harmony. We are a coven that is into white and red magic only. We perform positive magic and negative magic is not welcome.

How to leave the coven- If you want to leave the coven you may tell the High Priestess or High Priest that you will not be returning. A verbal good-bye is all we need to let us know you will not be returning. However, you are always welcome to come back if you decide to rejoin.

Training, degrees, and education- All members will have the chance to become a High Priest or High Priestess. The Book of Priesthood is a book that all members will be given once they have been initiated into the coven. Members may study on their own or in a group. The High Priest or High Priestess study takes two years. Practicing by yourself takes one to two years after study. Then you are anointed High Priest and High Priestess if you can do it on your own. Some people may need more time to practice and study.

Now we will discuss the differences between Priest and Priestess and High Priest and High Priestess.

Priest and Priestess- A person who is a Priest or a Priestess is a member who is studying for High Priesthood. When a coven member is studying for High Priesthood he/she are just learning how to run a coven in Harmony on their own. Coven members in my tradition learning about the priesthood will be trained to write their own rituals, beliefs, describe their own alters and learn to set it up, write spells, etc.. They will also learn how to do the rituals in my Book of Shadows until they have written their own and then they will learn to use their own Book of Shadows during their path in priesthood. They will also learn to teach about our tradition and teach in our wicca school. Once they are able to do this on their own they will be anointed High Priest and High Priestess. This will take two years or longer.

High Priest/ High Priestess- A High Priestess/ High Priest is a Priest that has already been anointed. Once anointed they will be able to set up their own schedule and even have their own space to form their circle. They will be able to write their own bylaws, rules, membership guidelines, and guides for leaving the circle.

Maiden/ Mother/ Crone- All coven will have three people that are trained in some of our ceremonies to be the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. These three will take place in all of the rituals and Sabbats that we celebrate. If they are not able to make it we will have another coven member take over or another Priestess or High Priestess. The Maiden, Mother and Crone will be discussed in Chapter 8 of this article.

Membership agreement- All members must agree to the following:

1. I understand that white and red magic is the only magic accepted in Harmony. Any use of black magic will result in my termination from the coven.

2. I agree to study the Book of Morals.

3. I agree to stay away from the influence of drugs and alcohol while in the circle.

4. I agree to the meeting schedule of the four Sabbats and two Esbats throughout the year.

Initiation- Once you are initiated you may choose a magical name that you will be called in the coven. You may choose more than one or just one. This name you will be called while inside of the coven.
