Alec Baldwin: Time Traveling President?

Maybe the reason Alec Baldwin plays President Donald Trump so well is because he may be the reincarnation of 13th President Millard Fillmore.

Is Alec Baldwin a presidential time traveler?

Alec Baldwin is a renowned actor who has successfully played a wide range of dramatic and comedic roles in his decades long career.

But, perhaps, he's lately most loved (and hated) for his over the top portrayal of President Donald Trump for the last two years on Saturday Night Live.

Of course, it's largely due to his outstanding talent for mimicry (ever see him do Tony Bennett?) along with top notch makeup, costuming, and prosthetics.

Some viewers have even been taken in so far as to wonder how long President Trump has been an SNL cast member. He's that good.

But, could this uncanny portrayal be due to something even more astounding?

Is it possible that Alec Baldwin is so good at impersonating a President because he was once a President himself in a former lifetime?

Specifically, is he a time-traveling reincarnation of President Millard Fillmore?

Millard Fillmore (January 7, 1800 – March 8, 1874) was the 13th President of the United States and served from 1850 to 1853, after being elevated from the Vice Presidency when Zachary Taylor died in office.

His presidency is largely regarded as something of a joke itself (to start with, Millard Fillmore is possibly the funniest president's name in history) and he was best known for his affable nature.

Perhaps it's why he's now viewed as something of a dullard who ascended to the office only because his boss died a few days after drinking a glass of cold milk on a blisteringly hot 4th of July. Now, that's funny...

Coincidentally, President Fillmore was a native New Yorker, as is his doppelgänger Alec Baldwin.

In 1987, the actor began his film and television career in mainly dramatic roles, although he early on displayed a talent for the comedic.

In 1990, he turned in his first hosting performance on SNL, and has proven so deft at comedy he's gone on to repeating the coveted spot a further 16 times since.

Over the years he's torn up the stage with memorable skits and impersonations which have left studio and TV audiences howling with laughter.

Among them are Pete Schweddy (creator of the delicious Christmas treat, Schweddy Balls) the aforementioned Tony Bennett, and a myriad of contemporary and historical personalities expertly imitated to the point he seemed the natural choice to try his hand at a possible eight year run as our current President Trump.

It's ironic that the left-leaning, social warrior Democrat so eerily impersonates the far-right Donald Trump.

But, perhaps his stint as Jack Donaghy, Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming for General Electric on Tina Fey's 30 Rock prepped him for his latest role so effectively? After all, GE was the parent company of NBC until 2011.

And, time traveling celebrities are nothing new.

Remember the rumors that Nicolas Cage is actually a time-traveling vampire? Or that Leonardo DiCaprio was once a woman named Judy Zipper?

Both have since denied having lived former lives, but, how can that be proved without time traveling into the past?

We may never find the answer to these vexing questions. So, in the meantime, let's just say it's within the realm of the possible.

One thing's for sure. Alec Baldwin is a dead ringer for a dead president. And, one who's considered the funniest chief executive ever to occupy the office of President of the United States.

So, until this mystery is solved, we have just one bit of advice for President Donald Trump: stay away from a cold glass of milk this July 4th, Mr. President.

Especially if it comes from Alec Baldwin's fridge...
