Hazrat Muhammad PBUH (peace be upon him) was the last and final Prophet of Almighty Allah. He established Islam as a force to be reckoned with and conquered all opposition in his lifetime. Islam, at its very core, is a religion of peace and harmony that has been established throughout history by Hazrat Muhammad PBUH (peace be upon him).

His every action and word displayed love, compassion, and understanding. Hazrat Muhammad PBUH proclaimed that God was one without partners or associates. Hazrat Muhammad PBUH taught us how to pray, fast, give charity, and improve family life for all those around him. He is the founder of ISLAM.

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) was the companion of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa PBUH. He was the first Calipha of Islam.

Hazrat Umar

Hazrat Umar was the 2nd of the Rightly Guided Caliphs of Islam, after Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A). Hazrat Umer became Khaleefa upon the passing away of Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A).

Hazrat Usman Ghani

Short history of Islam

Islam was founded by Mohammed (PBUH), who was born in Mecca, where he became a merchant at age 25 after his first wife died. At age 40, now living in Medina, he received revelations from God that were eventually compiled into what we know today as the Koran or Qur'an (the Holy Book).

The Quran contains 114 suras (chapters) and is believed to be written by Allah (God) himself. Muslims around the world follow Islam's Five Pillars which are: 1) FRITHAAH - an Islamic term to describe a religious contract between God and man in which, when a person is saved from Hellfire by ALLAH, he is obliged to submit to ALLAH's law by following his messenger MOHAMMED, perform prayers in the mosque FIVE times daily, give alms to the poor if he is able and fast during RAMADAN for one month every year. 2) SALAAT - is the prayer ritual that must be performed five times a day at specific times while facing Mecca. 3) ZAKAT - is required to pay 2.5 percent of all money earned in a year to the poor and needy if one is able. 4) SAUM - is fasting during RAMADAN every year from sunrise to sunset. 5) HAJJ - is a pilgrimage made by Muslims to Mecca once in their lifetimes if possible.

What are the pillars of Islam?

There are five pillars that every Muslim must do in his or her life

1). Shahada - This pillar states that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger. This pillar tells about It also tells about the prophet Muhammad's life story. One must say this out loud when one agrees with it. If someone was born into a Muslim family, then they do not need to recite this because their parents believe it in their behaves.

2). Salat - This pillar teaches how to pray to God five times a day (during these times) and that it must be done facing the Kaaba, which is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This pillar teaches how to pray and what to say and what is not allowed during prayer (such as talking).

3). Zakat - This pillar means charity or alms giving. Even if one does not have much, they should give 2.5% of their money, stock, and savings to those who are needier than themselves at the end of every lunar year. The pillars say that this also includes crops and cattle if they meet certain conditions such as being harvested.

4). Sawm - This pillar is fasting from dawn until sunset for a whole month- Ramadan, which occurs ten days before the Gregorian new year each year. This pillar teaches one to hold back from food, drink, and sexual activity during Ramadan as a form of self-restraint and as a way to get closer to God.

5). Hajj - This pillar means pilgrimage or holy trip. The pillars mean that every Muslim must do it once in their life if they are physically and financially capable. Before doing this pillars, all Muslims should make sure their house is clean and pure of anything terrible. The pillar involves visiting Allah's own house, so one should not see with any impurity thoughts or feelings in their heart.
