Dearica Hamby

Dearica Hamby is a 27-year-old forward for the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces. After entering the league in 2015, she had her best season to date in 2020, when she averaged a career best 13 points and 1.7 steals per game. She also shot career highs of 53.9 percent overall from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point land. This year Hamby has averaged 12.3 points per game in the first six games of the season for the Aces. On May 28, she pounded Indiana with 28 points shooting 7-11 from the field and 11-14 from the free-throw line. On May 21, Hamby posted her first double-double of the season when she had 17 points and 10 rebounds in a victory against Los Angeles. Hamby played her college ball at Wake Forest.

Ahvon Mitchell

Western Michigan freshman Ahvon Mitchell is a hurdler who has shown promise in her first collegiate season. She ran her best 60-meter hurdle time of the indoor season at 8.78, which was the third fastest of the prelim round of the Mid-American Indoor Track & Field Championships. She placed sixth overall in the final round at 8.80. During the outdoor season she competed in the 100-meter hurdles, the 400-meter hurdles as well as the 400-meter relay and the 1,600-meter relay. She and her 1,600-meter teammates registered a runner-up finish at the Adidas Winthrop Invitational in March, with a time of 3:57.20.

Sammi Michel

Anderson University's Sammi Michel may play for a lesser known school, but she is becoming more popular during the day. The talented hooper has 66,000 followers on TikTok and 16,000 followers on Instagram. In 24 games Michel, a 6-1 forward posted an average of 10.4 points on 51.5 shooting. She also averaged 6.7 rebounds per game. From Jan. 23-30, Michel had a three-game stretch where she scored 27 points against Limestone, 23 points against Mars Hill and 26 points against Coker. She had her fourth and final game with at least 20 points against Lenoir-Rhyne when she scored as many points on Feb. 13. Michel is a native of Apex, North Carolina.

Caitlyn Little

Caitlyn Little is a hurdler for South Carolina who found some success on the track this year, collecting multiple top three finishes in various meets. At the North Florida Invite and USC Open she earned third place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles. She also placed third in the 60-meter hurdles at the Carolina Indoor Open during the indoor season. Little started her indoor season with a runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the Gamecock Opener. In 2020 Little collected 60-meter hurdles wins at the Gamecock Opener, Carolina Challenge and South Carolina Invitational.

Daphane White

The word is that Houston forward, Daphane White is in the process of transferring, and whoever gets her will be receiving a talented and charismatic potential star. The 6-5 junior from Gulfport, Mississippi got limited playing time during the 2020-21 season. White had her best game in just 13 minutes of action when she scored 10 points, grabbed seven rebounds, blocked one shot and stole the ball once in a win over Auburn. In 10 games she shot 51.5 percent from the field. Prior to attending Houston, White averaged 15.7 points and 11 rebounds for Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Christania Williams

Christania Williams, 26, is a Jamaican, Olympian sprinter who won a silver medal in the 400-meter relay at the 2016 games. She also competed in the finals of the 100 meters at the same games, where she placed eighth. Williams has also collected medals at the Commonwealth Games. She scored two more silvers, when she was a runner-up in the 100 meters and 400-meter relay in 2018.
