Back in 2019 a group of athletes from California State University - Bakersfield started making jaws drop on social media. Two years later the beautiful and talented athletes are still at it with their latest photo dump, which has landed them their own feature in the The Hottest Spring Bods in Women's Sports of 2021. This is just the second time that athletes from one school has been featured in this series. The other time was when we showcased the ladies from Texas better known as Chanell Brissett, Stacey Ann Williams, Kennedy Simon and Serenity Douglas. As usual, enjoy!

Throughout her career, sprinter Mariah Lesure has been a tough competitor. In 2020, she was a medalist at the Western Athletic Conference championship indoor meet with a 7.62 finish in the 60 meters. Lesure earned her only open collegiate win at the Beach Opener where she ran the 100 meters at 12.30 in 2019. During that season she collected a couple top three finishes. She placed third in the 200 meters at the Cal Poly Shareslo.com Invitational and was on the third place team in the 400-meter relay at the Ben Brown Invitational. In 2018, Lesure was on the runner-up squad of the 1,600-meter relay at the Bulldog Invitational. She was a part of a second place relay finish in the 1,600-meter relay at the Cal State LA Invitational. During her freshman season she earned a third place result in her second meet, when she ran the 60 meters at the NAU Mountain T's Inviitational.

Now, 23, years old, Lesure is a native of Bakersfield, California and was a star at Bakersfield High School. She was the MVP at her school in 2015 and was named Most Outstanding Athlete in 2016. Lesure also has a background as a high school cheerleader.

A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jasmine Walker competed for Oak Hills High School in Oak Hills, California. She didn't wait long to make an impact in society as a member of SHE Power during her freshman year. She also was a student assistant to the president's office at Cal State Bakersfield. At her third meet, the Fresno Pacific Sunbird Invitational, Walker was second in the 400 meters in 2018. Two meets later she earned another runner-up finish with the Lesure in the 1,600-meter relay at the Cal State LA Invitational. Over her career, she scored points for her team at the Western Athletic championship meets. In 2019 she was on the sixth place team of the 400-meter relay at the conference outdoor championship.

Jaylen Christensen

Jaylen Christensen is another native of Bakersfield California. In 2018, she walked out of Independence High School with a 4.0 grade point average. During those days she also played volleyball.

Christensen became a multi-event athlete at Cal State Bakersfield. At the 2020 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, Christensen had the best showing of her career in the pentathlon as she placed sixth out of 14 competitors. Her performance allowed her to earn all-conference second team honors. She had a third place finish in the javelin throw and a fourth place finish in the high jump at the Titan Twilight meet in 2019. The versatile athlete has competed in relay action once in her career where she helped the 1,600-meter relay squad to a fifth place finish at the Titan Team Challenge in 2019.
