Because of its ability to bring out our emotions, music is one of the most beloved art forms known to humankind. With the advent of MTV in the 1980s, the music video gained in popularity and has since been used to express a variety of emotions, feelings, stories, and more. Naturally, the use of sex and/or sexy images, people, and so on, have also been quite common. Not all have succeeded in getting people all hot and bothered, but some most certainly have. These are WatchMojo's picks for the "Top 10 Sexiest Music Videos."

Written by Burt Bacharach, The White Stripes’ version of “I Just Don’t Know What to Do With Myself” added blues, garage, and alt rock flavors to the pop tune. But what really makes the song stand out is its Sofia Coppola-directed music video that’s got top model Kate Moss flaunting her pole dancing skills. Need we say more?

Though Diane Martel was responsible for another sexy music video featuring Pharrell, it’s the director’s unrated version of “Blurred Lines” that makes our list. As one of 2013’s biggest hits, the song was also accompanied by one of the most talked about music videos. Why? It features Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell surrounded by topless models posing and dancing around them. And it introduced the world to the sexy dynamo that is Emily Ratajkowski.

See for yourself.

It was thanks to this single off their eponymous record that Duran Duran had their first taste of mainstream success in the UK. However, its accompanying music video is what actually helped “Girls on Film” not only stay on the charts but also become an MTV staple. In fact, the video was so raunchy there was an edited “day version” and uncensored “night version”—with the latter making our list for its unapologetic use of BDSM, barely clothed girls on film, and more.

For this 2004 progressive house track, Eric Prydz went back in time with 80s-inspired workout outfits. Centering on a group of fit and good-looking women in extremely revealing attire, the video has them thrusting, spreading their legs and touching themselves. Meanwhile, a single male participant takes it all in. Who knew aerobics could be so much fun?

Usher’s proven time and time again he’s got the moves, and it’s no different in the music video for this slow R&B and hip-hop track. Though the song’s about the woman taking control in a relationship, Usher shows us he knows exactly how to keep things hot and heavy. Add a gorgeous love interest showing off various designs from his lingerie line and you’ve got one helluva of a steamy vid.

Music videos literally can’t get much hotter than “I’m a Slave 4 U.” By placing the midriff-baring pop princess in a sauna with a bunch of other sweaty, beautiful people, the creative team behind Britney Spears’ career propelled the young starlet from good-girl-next-door to international sex symbol. Thanks to its mature sound and her more mature look, the song hit the top ten in several countries and had people wanting to “dance up on her” around the world.

For those craving ultimate power in the palm of the hand, SIRI™ 2 is the music vibrator that also vibrates in time to music or the sound of a lover’s voice. Turn up some of these sexy songs and play along...

With plenty of scantily clad women performing tasks that are metaphors for—you guessed it—sex, the music video for this Benny Benassi single is anything-but-subtle. Alright, so it is sexist, but then again, what else did you expect from a song that’s main lyrics are “Push me and then just touch me ‘til I can my satisfaction?”

With a title like that, did you really expect a squeaky-clean music video from the former Mouseketeer? “Dirrty”—with 2 Rs no less—features Christina Aguilera in various barely-there outfits, including a bikini and chaps, touching herself and bumping ‘n’ grinding with other people. Both the video and the song’s provocative lyrics showed she was all grown up and undoubtedly had many guys wanting to get dirty with her too.

What do you get when you mix a soft rock and rockabilly tune with a half-naked supermodel and a shirtless rocker on a Hawaiian beach? A beautifully shot mostly black-and-white video that’s as hot as it is romantic. There may not have been any actual nudity shown, but that just goes to show how sometimes a little mystery goes a long way.

Before we unveil our number one pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

  • "Lapdance" by N.E.R.D.
  • "Indestructible" by Robyn
  • "Gorilla" by Bruno Mars

Banned by MTV, the racy video for Madonna’s first single off The Immaculate Collection still became a bestseller on VHS. Not only was “Justify My Love” Madonna’s ninth chart-topper, but the song’s spoken and whispered vocals were brought to life in a lust-filled black-and-white short film. Depicting sadomasochism, bisexual behavior, and more, the music video may have been too hot for TV, but not for our bedrooms.
