Love Thoughts

We’d been stationary for what felt like an eternity, the rhythmic thrum of the engine the only sound breaking the oppressive silence of the unmoving highway.

"Seriously, not even an inch," I sighed, slumping further into the passenger seat. "This is soul-crushing."

Jon, ever the optimist (or perhaps just better at feigning it), tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. "Well, we can't exactly go anywhere. So, what should we do to kill some time?" He turned to me, a playful glint in his eyes. "I hope you at least packed a few bottles..."

My gaze, almost instinctively, drifted over my shoulder. There, on the back seat, was my oversized canvas tote. And peeking out from under a paperback, undeniably, was the distinctive, sleek outline of a particular bottle. The very obvious bottle of lube.

A slow, knowing smile spread across my face. "Bottles, plural, you say?" I purred, reaching back and casually nudging the tote with my elbow, making sure the tell-tale bottle was now even more visible. "You know, for emergencies. Or, you know, really, really long traffic jams."

Jon's eyes followed my movement, and the glint in his own eyes intensified, transforming into something far more predatory and exciting. He licked his lips, his voice dropping to a low rumble. "Well, this certainly qualifies as an emergency, wouldn't you say? A dire lack of… stimulation."

I leaned over, my hand trailing along his thigh, pushing aside the fabric of his jeans to find the warmth of his skin. "Oh, absolutely dire. We can't have you suffering like that, darling." My fingers began to explore, light and teasing. "Especially when we're so equipped."

The air in the car, already thick with the heat of the sun, suddenly felt charged with a different kind of heat. The blare of a distant horn, usually irritating, now seemed to fade into a muffled background hum. All that mattered was the confined space, the unexpected opportunity, and the delicious potential unfolding between us.

Jon shifted in his seat, his breathing becoming a little more ragged. "You know," he murmured, his gaze locked on mine, "that back seat folds down pretty flat."

I met his gaze, a wicked grin playing on my lips. "Does it now? And here I was, thinking we might have to make do with just the front." My hand, no longer teasing, began a more confident exploration, finding the growing evidence of his desire. "But a flat surface… now that would be more comfortable for a proper rescue mission, wouldn't it?"

The traffic might not be moving, but our evening had just taken a very interesting, and very definite, turn.

"Nervous?" I whispered, my voice a teasing purr against the drone of the engine. My fingers, light at first, began to work their magic. Through the denim of his jeans, I could feel the familiar softness beginning to firm, a promising resistance against my touch. The thought of all those other drivers, inches away, oblivious to the secret unfolding in our little bubble of a car, sent a shiver of delicious naughtiness down my spine.

He cleared his throat, a gruff sound. "Just traffic," he managed, but his eyes, when they flickered to me, held a spark of wild desire that belied his words. His leg twitched under my hand, a subtle urging, an unspoken invitation to continue.

I leaned back against the headrest, a smile playing on my lips. The car was filling with a different kind of heat now, a palpable tension that hummed between us. My thumb circled the burgeoning hardness, a slow, deliberate tease. Each passing car, each honk, each glimpse of another face through a tinted window, only intensified the thrill. Would someone see? Could they possibly guess the delicious secret we were sharing?

The traffic light ahead turned red, and we ground to a halt. A minivan full of kids pulled up alongside us, their faces pressed against the window. My heart hammered against my ribs, a joyful drumbeat of adrenaline. I pressed a little harder, a silent question. His intake of breath was sharp, almost a gasp. His head tilted slightly, a silent plea.
