Joan stood there, framed by the warm glow of her apartment, a vision that simultaneously disarmed and electrified him. She was wearing a silk robe, the fabric a deep sapphire that shimmered in the soft light, hanging open to reveal a black lace bra and matching panties. The delicate lace contrasted sharply with the smooth expanse of her skin, a tantalizing peek at the secrets beneath. Her dark hair was artfully tousled, as if she’d just emerged from a luxurious bath, and her lips, without a trace of makeup, were a soft, inviting pink.

A slow, knowing smile played on her lips as her eyes met his, a silent question passing between them. “Paul,” she murmured, her voice a husky whisper that sent a shiver down his spine. “I was wondering when you’d finally make it.” She didn’t move to close the robe, didn’t flinch from his gaze, but held it, steady and confident.

He swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. “Joan,” he managed, the single word a testament to the sudden disarray of his thoughts. He’d come with intentions, with a carefully constructed excuse about a forgotten file, but all of that evaporated the moment he saw her. The air between them crackled, thick with unspoken desires and years of restrained flirtation.

She took a small step back, the invitation clear. “Well, don’t just stand there. Come in.” Her eyes twinkled with a hint of mischief, daring him, challenging him. The scent of her perfume, something subtly floral with an underlying musk, enveloped him as he stepped across the threshold. The door clicked shut behind him, sealing them in, and for the first time all day, Paul felt completely, thrillingly, alive. The night, he knew, had only just begun.

He looked tired, a few lines etched around his eyes, but a smile touched his lips as he saw her. Joan, in a silk slip the color of red wine, was putting the finishing touches on the table, a single candle flickering between them. As he stepped further into the room, the soft glow highlighted the curve of her hip, the way the silk shimmered with her movements. He felt an instant surge, a familiar warmth spreading through him.

"Rough day, darling?" she murmured, not turning, her voice a low, inviting purr.

"Long one," he replied, his voice a little rougher than he intended. He walked towards her, the scent of her perfume, a blend of jasmine and something subtly musky, drawing him in. As he reached her, he hesitated, then wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her gently back against him.

She leaned into his embrace, her head tilting back to rest on his shoulder. Her fingers, cool and slender, found the lapels of his shirt, tracing the fabric. As she shifted slightly, her thigh brushed against his, and she felt the unmistakable, rigid proof of his desire pressing against the denim of his trousers. A slow smile spread across her face, unseen by him.

She pulled away just enough to turn in his arms, her eyes dark and knowing, meeting him. Her hand, delicate and deliberate, drifted down, tracing the line of his stomach until her fingertips brushed against the prominent bulge. She felt the hard, hot shape beneath the fabric. Her touch was feather-light, yet it sent a shiver through him.

"How do you like that, darling?" she asked, her voice a breathless whisper, her thumb gently stroking the taut material.

Paul’s eyes, heavy with unspoken desire, met hers. He swallowed, the sound audible in the quiet room. "I like that very much," he managed, his own voice a low rumble, laced with a plea. He tightened his arms around her, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them, the undeniable proof of his longing now flush against her.
