It's been more than a year since we have been honoring the physiques of women in sports, fitness and entertainment (mostly sports). After a tumultuous 2020 with a health pandemic, racial tension, domestic terrorism and a wild election, we have had time to take a breath in 2021 and appreciate some of the most productive women on earth.

For our premier of the 2021 fall series, we kick things off with an interview of one of the most featured women in our previous seasons, Becca Ripley. We also feature a few other women in sports and entertainment to get the ball rolling in continuation of what we genuinely believe is the most beautiful year of all-time!

Ariana Barrett

Ariana Barrett is a Rancho Cordova, California native who competed in three meets during the 2021 outdoor season at Sacramento State. She is a pre-law and political science major.

Emiah Downie

After a year of collegiate basketball at Thomas University, Emiah Downie has left the basketball court behind and is now at Florida A&M. She is majoring in biology and also finding her way as a talented singer.

Melissa Montana

In the previous decade, Melissa Montana used to be on websites and in magazines as what the industry called "urban modeling." These days she is in the midst of a long-running and solid career as a DJ. While the French star is focused on making people dance, she shows that she still has it on the side of beauty with her amazing swimsuit posts on Instagram.

Lanipop

Lanipop has had a successful career as a model, dancer, brand ambassador and influencer, which started from the ground up over a decade ago. From making simple YouTube dance videos, before TikTok was even an idea, Lanipop has grown-up and mastered various digital platforms, which has made her a well-known name in the world of hip-hop and urban entertainment.

Becca Ripley

Winners Only: How excited are you for the upcoming basketball season at University of Central Florida?

Becca Ripley: I'm very excited! I am surrounded by amazing teammates and all of the upperclassman returned this year so it's going to be a great year!

Over the past decade the look of women's basketball has seen a more feminine dynamic be added. Is that a fair observation and how do you feel about it?

Yes I feel as if there has been a positive change as well as steps being taken when it comes to more playing in a feminine dynamic environment. Additionally, media outlets and essentially more media attention is an example of a big step in a positive direction.

We've been celebrating the best bods in sports and you have consistently shown up in our features throughout the seasons. What has that meant to you if anything at all?

It means a lot knowing that people see something in me other than basketball. Being able to consistently be featured throughout numerous seasons has given me more confidence within myself physically and mentally.

You said more confidence. Did you have to learn to become more body positive over the years? If so what did you have to overcome?

Yes, I think being a college athlete can be extremely difficult for many reasons, but being on the screen 24/7 and knowing that you are being watched is extremely nerve racking, therefore keeping up with my body image has been difficult. Being able to love myself for who I am.

You are a successful athlete, student and you could even have a future in modeling. In five years what will Becca Ripley be doing to continue to make a name for herself?

In five years from now, I will be expanding on my business that I already established. I have spent a lot of time and energy in creating this platform and this brand for myself.
