Liam’s eyes darkened, a silent acknowledgment passing between them. He reached out, his fingers tracing the delicate line of her jaw. “Maybe,” he said, his voice dropping to a husky whisper, “the unfinished stuff is just a preview. A warm-up act for the main event.” His thumb brushed her bottom lip, sending a jolt of electricity through her. “And maybe, just maybe, seeing what’s in this box will inspire me to finish everything.”

He held her gaze, a silent question hanging in the air, a potent promise in his eyes. The box of unfinished art suddenly felt like a metaphor, a prelude to the unexpressed desires that had been simmering between them for weeks. Zendaya’s smile softened, a hint of surrender in her eyes.

“Alright, Liam,” she breathed, her own voice thick with anticipation. “Show me your unfinished stuff. All of it.”

The box could wait. There were more immediate, more compelling projects at hand.

The elevator doors hissed open, the abrupt chime a jarring intrusion into the charged silence. Zendaya, still breathless, pulled back fractionally, her eyes dark with desire, meeting Liam’s. The furious pounding of her heart felt like a drum against his chest, a rhythm that had nearly consumed them both. He felt the cold air of the hallway as the doors finally opened fully, a stark contrast to the inferno she’d ignited.

He reluctantly released her, his palms still tingling from the imprint of her bare skin. She smoothed her dress down, a slow, deliberate motion that made his gaze linger on the curve of her hip, the enticing glimpse of thigh. The faint, sweet scent of her perfume, now mingled with the musk of their shared desire, clung to him.

"Later," she whispered, her voice a husky murmur that promised untold delights. The single word was a brand, searing itself into his anticipation. She cast one last smoldering look over her shoulder before stepping out into the brightly lit corridor, her stride regaining its confident sway, though he could still detect a subtle tremble in her legs.

Liam watched her go, a primal ache throbbing low in his belly. The elevator doors, sensing their opportunity, began to close, but he shoved his hand between them, stopping their progress. He stepped out onto the executive floor, the polished floors and hushed atmosphere a world away from the raw intensity of moments prior. He ran a hand through his slightly disheveled hair, a wry grin playing on his lips. He knew, with absolute certainty, that tonight was far from over.

The memory of her body pressed against his, the taste of her on his tongue, was a vivid, insistent replay. He walked towards his office, his mind already racing ahead, planning. He knew exactly what he wanted to do with her, how he wanted to finish what they’d started. The day’s meetings, the looming deadlines, all faded into background noise. All that mattered was the promise in her eyes, the wildfire she’d sparked, and the delicious, agonizing wait until "later." He’d never been so eager for the workday to end. Tonight, their entanglement would know no interruption.

The hum of the city outside their penthouse apartment faded into a soft, forgotten murmur as Zendaya turned from the panoramic window. The last sliver of twilight painted the room in hues of deep violet and bruised plum, mirroring the shift in atmosphere that had been building between them all evening. Liam watched her, a silent current of anticipation thrumming in the air. With a slow, deliberate grace, she unbuttoned her silk blouse. Each button gave way with a soft whisper, the fabric falling open to reveal the delicate lace of her bra beneath.
