Celeb Fun

part 587

Once inside the avocado-green sanctuary of the rental, the silence of the house felt different—no longer stagnant, but expectant. They didn't even bother taking off their jackets before collapsing onto the linoleum floor, the water from their clothes forming a widening pool around them. For several minutes, they just lay there, staring up at the peeling ceiling and listening to their heartbeats slow down. The adrenaline was receding, leaving behind a warm, humming tension that had nothing to do with the treasure they had found.

Hannah shifted, propping herself up on one elbow to look at him. The gray light of the afternoon filtered through the dusty curtains, casting soft shadows across Jake's face. He looked back at her, his gaze lingering on the way her chest rose and fell, the intensity of the morning's gamble still flickering in his eyes. He reached out, his thumb brushing a stray drop of saltwater from her cheek, his touch lingering long enough to make her breath hitch.

"Precision and intuition," she whispered, her voice barely a breath.

"A dangerous combination," Jake replied, his voice dropping an octave.

He didn't move his hand from her cheek, but his fingers slid back, curling around the nape of her neck to pull her closer. The dampness of their clothes should have been chilling, but the heat radiating between them was a physical force, overriding the drafty chill of the seventies cottage. Hannah leaned into him, the smell of salt and adrenaline still clinging to his skin, and felt the sudden, urgent need to shed the heavy, sodden layers of her gear.

They moved with a frantic sort of grace, shedding jackets and boots in a chaotic trail that led from the linoleum floor to the small, dim bedroom. The air here was thick with the scent of old linens and cedar, the light filtered through a set of heavy velvet curtains that blocked out the gray afternoon. There was no need for the precision of maps or the calculation of tides now; the only rhythm that mattered was the synchronization of their breathing.

Jake paused, his hands hovering over the buttons of his shirt, his eyes searching hers for a signal. Hannah didn't give him a word, instead reaching out to grasp the hem of his shirt and tugging it upward. He laughed, a short, breathless sound, and helped her strip the garment over his head, tossing it blindly toward a nearby chair.

"I think we're well past the point of playing it safe," Hannah whispered, her voice a low vibration that seemed to echo the distant rumble of the tide they had just escaped.

She didn't wait for him to answer, her fingers finding the waistband of his trousers. There was a frantic efficiency to her movements, a mirror of the urgency they had felt in the basin, as she tugged the fabric down. Jake stepped out of his pants, leaving them as a heap on the worn carpet, and as she reached for his underwear and pulled them down to his ankles, he let out a long, shuddering breath. His hardened shaft flopped free, pulsing with a life of its own. Hannah gasped, the sight of him triggering a fresh wave of heat that pooled in her belly. She leaned in, her breath warm against his length, before wrapping her fingers around him in a firm, possessive grip.

Jake—as she affectionately thought of it in the quiet theater of her mind—was a magnificent piece of architecture. He was long and thick, a sturdy pole that promised a slow, exhaustive kind of pleasure. She began to stroke him, her palm sliding over the velvet skin, moving back and forth in a rhythmic cadence that matched the receding heartbeat of the ocean outside. A soft moan escaped her lips, a sound of pure appreciation for the physical reality of him.
